Give Up Your Guns

February 2nd, 2009 at 9:09 pm by Preston Taylor Holmes

Just turn them over now and save the poor Feds all that effort in putting together bills like H.R. 45: Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009.

Quick summary from World View Times:

H.R. 45: This bill would require a license for handguns and semiautomatics, including those currently possessed. The applicant must be thumbprinted and sign a certification that, effectively, the firearm will not be kept in a place where it would be available for the defense of the gun owner’s family. The applicant must also make available ALL of his psychiatric records, pass an exam, and pay a fee of up to $25. The license may be renewed after five years and may be revoked. Private sales would be outlawed, and reports to the attorney general of all transactions would be required, even when, as the bill allows, the AG determines that a state licensing system is sufficiently draconian to substitute for the federal license. With virtually no exceptions, ALL firearms transactions (involving semiautos, handguns, long guns, etc.) would be subject to a Brady check. In addition, the bill would make it unlawful in nearly all cases to keep any loaded firearm for self-defense. A variety of “crimes by omission” (such as failure to report certain things) would be created. Criminal penalties of up to ten years and almost unlimited regulatory and inspection authority would be established.

Registration will be followed shortly thereafter by confiscation (for the children, of course).

Let your House Rep know that crap like this shouldn’t see the light of day.

Boy, they don’t waste any time, do they?

  2. Preston Taylor Holmes Says:

    Breakneck speed, SeeDub.

  3. michele Says:

Another freaking scary bill crafted around a convenient Christ figure.

  4. Brian Says:

Just remember, tracking and deporting illegal aliens is too costly and infringes their rights.

Asking for ID to vote is racist and discriminates against the poor.

Wanting to regulate private sales of an item outlined as a constitutional right between individuals sounds like a good idea though.

What we are seeing is so similar to Germany in the era of the rise of the National Socialist Party that I would not be shocked to think that the historical record of this time is being used as a blueprint. The key here is to remove the citizen’s ability to defend themselves and leave a vacuum of total dependence on the government. It is totally unconstitutional and the socialists in power here in the USA now do not care what the Constitution says.

We are in serious trouble as a country.

  6. michele Says:

I can’t find it referred to anywhere on the NRA website, which makes me hope it’s something they don’t think will get legs.

    I’ll keep checking.

Let these people try. I’m already tired of the insanity taking place in DC as they try to remake the US into Barak Hussein’s vision of a Marxist Socialist Soviet Union style state with major wealth transformation. They want to take away our free speech rights and silence free speech like talk radio. Now they want to steal our guns.

I’m at the point that I’m all for a civil war and/or secession. People get armed and get ready. I pray for the destruction of the Washington DC tyrants. Obama is not my President because he is a Marxist, a liar, and a fraud.

Boy oh boy,, that will “heat-up” the culture war. I’ve been saying (and doing) for a while now to buy ammo and caned foods. I’m fortunate that I live in the sticks and own land both in Indiana and Tennesssee (in the sticks). I sure do feel sorry for the good folks that live in the cities, ya’ll gonna’ catch all manner of hell.

  9. GreyCoat Says:

Amen Swamp Rabbit as to those in the city. I live in a small city in south central Florida. We’ve got land in WV that if we can make it there we will when everything goes to hell. Of course that is assuming the men in SS (secret service) uniforms don’t pick me up first for expressing my First Admendment Rights against the “Messiah”.

    Reflections of Nazism…

Question for the class. What was the movement behind the rise of Germany’s Hitler? He was the head of the National Socialist Party. Their official name was National Socialist German Worker’s Party. Does that ring a bell? Once their party came i…
