Haiku as Therapy
February 6th, 2009 at 9:57 am by CrankyI must say, there is a certain frustrating helplessness watching this financial crisis/political circus go down.
The collusion of the corrupt and the clueless is bad enough. But the audacity is overwhelming and I ain’t talking about hope. This decade should be known as the “audacious” one.
Audacity to;
- Create a financial crisis and expect welfare checks in the billions.
- Give billions to those responsible for the crisis with a “don’t spend this on anything stupid” nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
- Skip out on taxes while building an entire political philosophy on a Coke commercial communalism.
- Pay lip service to ethics while opening up the pork gates to everyone ever owed a favor.
Really, what is the common shmoe supposed to do? I know! Haiku!
And Rightly So is opening the blog up to Stimulus Bill Haikus.
Here’s mine.
Can you spare a Bil?
This jet will not fuel itself
Say, is this tax free?
Yours?

Do I have the talent to compose a haiku?
I think the answer is clear.
Why do you even have to ask?

With white hot hate
For anything Obama.
