Remember When…
February 10th, 2009 at 10:28 am by Cranky… dissent was patriotic?
Raising your voice to declare that Bush’s war was immoral was patriotic.
Risking your career to publicly announce on E! that fascism was alive and well in the White House was even more so.
Trashing your favorite downtown in the fight against the Military Industrial Complex was the pinnacle of said patriotic dissent.
Today? Not so much. Or so says my second favorite Libertarian, Penn Jillette.

Let me clarify, Comrades. Dissent is not only un-patriotic…it will not be tolerated.
I won.

Ah, I remember it like it was 3 months ago.

We are thinking alike Mr Cranky. Too often my dissent has been met with “you have to give him a chance!”. Like Hell I do.

Who’s your favorite? Me, or the guy who played “Chainsaw” in Summer School?

nice to see the link to big hollywood. i have ‘taken a shine’ to that site… lots of good stuff coming out of there (not unlike 6MB, i might add…)
not that it’s of any consequence, but i can’t stand penn or teller and i hope they find themselves wandering the desert for the next 40 years with lots of time to think about where they’ve been…
