UPDATE: I should correct this headline. It’s not just the liberals who are elitist and out-of-touch with we in the “chattering class”. It’s the vast majority of the Senate and the House – and the Executive Branch has been out-to-lunch since 1988. It’s a Federal Government disease, not restricted to liberals.

This is the same thing that President Clifford said in the mid-Nineties when he told us we shouldn’t get tax rebates because we couldn’t be trusted to “do the right thing” with the money. Bastards.
