Nashville Tea Party
March 1st, 2009 at 6:35 pm by MicheleI just got back this morning, and finally am able to sit at my home computer, the only one that understands me, and post a few pics from the Nashville Tea Party.

.

Maybe it sounds like heresy to say that I left this thing a little dejected. But I did.
I guess I expected to be more fired up by the crowd and the speakers. I don’t think it was that the crowd was small or that the politicians who took the mikes weren’t sincere, but I think I am becoming cynical, because the party for which I have voted has rolled over and played dead, even when they were in control. Although the Republicans rejected the stimulus package overwhelmingly, I really hoped to see some Korean Parliament-style outrage at its passing. I hoped a senator or two would at least jump over a seat with his fists flying in a fury over our country sliding so rapidly into socialism.
But there was no outrage. Just a lady with a sign wondering along with me.

Where's the Outrage?

The tone deaf parties have shown that they do not care about the people any more. They have taken what little authority they have and robbed our Treasury at gun point, tossed the money into a dice game in the back alley and gambled away our future on a plan with no Exit Strategy.
People are so cowed by Political Correctness that they want desperately to separate the policies from the President. A few more months of massive layoffs and a 6,000 point Dow should get people over this “walking on eggshells” phase.

These people are embarrassing. If you attend one of these parties you are not helping, you are hurting and simply embarrassing the rest of us sensible human beings. What message are these people even trying to promote, is there one? This is an astro-turfed movement, the people who set them up and advertise them are Republican millionaires, these are not grassroots at all.
Brian please get some common sense, if you let the banks fail the financial system collapses and then you have to move out of your suburban neighborhood and into a Bushville.
