Cara, I was more referring to the scandals surrounding C.E.I., but I'll take the sex tape. 23, sounds like you've got it right on the head.

What I can not believe is that we have a president that attended a church lead by an man that preaches Cone's marxist theology for 20 years, Allied and worked with Ayers and other marxists, had a marxist father, marxist, marxist, marxist all over the friggin' place, and yet, it's considered over-the-top crackpot stuff to think that maybe, just maybe, this guy is trying to install a marxist state. Did I miss something?

Weasal (sic) Contractor:

If you were to come up with a plan to purposely tank the markets and destroy the capitalist system, it would be something like this one, only without the false-hope window dressing from the Mainstream Media.

The Fed Chairman gave a very, very, very thinly qualified endorsement, and the market rally was very superficial and brief after his words, and Warren Buffet's rosy prose on this subject needs to be taken with a grain of salt as he is a democrat and is, more importantly, one of the few folks who can make serious money off of the tanking of the economy due to the serious capital that he controls.

If you consider that the board of directors of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were inhabited and influenced by Rahm E. and others as the failure of these agencies slid us into the housing aspect of this crisis while they took no action to try to avoid it (and ignored warnings to that effect) you can start to see where the crisis is manufactured from top to bottom for the most part, with the resultant panic in the market and with the public being just the icing on the cake.

In other words, President Unicorn & his merry band of Marxists are tanking the markets on purpose. Its a feature, not a bug.

Preston:

Spot on; I agree that the logical conclusion of all of this is what you have described and inferred. It is possible that a "crisis" or "crises" will make elections "temporarily impossible"....at this point nothing seems out of the question, and if enough people wake up to what is going on so as to threaten reelection, I would not be shocked in the least to see that happen. Really, all that would have to be done is to open enough holes in National Security to allow the current threats to break through at the right time, which would seem to be already in process. It may be possible to slow down this momentun with a big midterm election swing so expect a full court press there against the conservatives who are running or challenging; RINOs who are running or challenging may not be as much of a target for the communist democrats, but then they're also not much help to the conservative cause either.

Good point. Fascism is often incorrectly linked to "right-wingers" but his squashing of dissent and need for dictator-like control certainly reeks of it. Owning 40% of Citi has pretty much taken away any facade of them remaining "private". That's just the beginning as you probably already know.

Wouldn't his plans be more Fascist than Communist? While he is letting business stay more of less "private", he is telling the business how to run the business.
