Phil Donahue exhibits just the kind of serene and composed expression that makes me want to punch him in the nose.
I think it’s that “I’m-an-open-minded-liberal-listening-to-you” face, which will later be followed by some eye rolling in the green room.
Anyway, is American conservatism so peculiar that it should be the subject of talk shows?

Absolutely beautiful explanation. It’s rather unfortunate we can’t seem to find someone who can speak it as well as Milton Friedman did back then.
And yes, where did you find this gem?
