Thanks mB. It's all about power and abuse for these pricks. That's why I'm unable to avoid using expletives when discussing them.

It’s funny how Rep. Bart Gordon calls himself a “blue dog” but is basically walking in lock-step with the expansion of government while also wasting taxpayer money on trips to Europe for him and his wife.

I still like saying that Barney Frank is joined to the mortgage crisis by the Fannie.

Ask Marsha if she'd like to be a Senator. I can think of one or two of ours that I'd be willing to trade. Have her put on a plaid, pleated skirt and watch Lamar defending his vote for a bill that he concedes he didn't read.

Wamp was selling the same thing to us. I was ready to bite, because he brought the red meat. Actions speak louder than words. He's lost mine as well. He could have voted with the Constitution that he claimed to be such a fan of, but went the other way. I'm glad Marsha tried to sway him at least.

Marsha showed up at the Williamson County Republican convention tonight. I had a chance to speak with her and thanked her for having the balls to vote no unlike her male counterparts who apparently have no balls. She said she even spoke with Wamp and tried to convince him to vote no especially since he's running for governor. When we did the blogger meet with Wamp he was talking about his free market creds and his conservative creds. He just lost my vote in the primary. I'm like an elephant, I never forget. This was a purely political move for Wamp and I think he chose the wrong move; I guess time will tell.

Mrs. Holmes said I needed to lose the "rumps pumped" line. I just can't seem to control myself when I get on a roll. Oh well, it's not like the powers-that-be take me seriously anyway.

It's funny that you put this up as I left a comment over at Just One Minute a second ago about the same topic.

All the leftard bloggers were harping on the same note the day before about how the Rightwing Smear Machine (tm) was trying desperately to say Chris Dodd is the one who inserted the loophole bonus language in the Generational Theft Act the day before Dodd came out and admitted that he was, indeed, the one who asked for the language to be included.

They're all reading from the same cheat sheet and it's all tied to the advertising in their sidebars. Journolist is the new Townhouse. Melissa Clouthier's noting the same comparison.

So-called journalists, leftwing policymakers and public officials, combined with leftwing bloggers to form a closed, invitation only forum to drive certain stories and define one particular narrative. Straying from the official party line is grounds for dismissals and cutting off your ad revenue stream. It's deja vu all over again.

Just reading this old outdated rag. Am I understanding it correctly?

Maybe we should add some sub-clauses.

Section. 8.

Clause 1: The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

sub-clause: (Unless of course, they are nasty banker-types who take big bonuses and refuse to come forward with their names. We can target them specifically with a 90% tax. If you can get enough of the population riled up about it, then it's okay.)

Section. 9.

Clause 3: No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

sub-clause (Unless of course you passed a gigantic bill that nobody read and realize that you left a gaping loophole after the fact that's not in the government's favor.)

Section. 10.

Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

Question: Can the federal government make laws impairing the obligation of contracts? If the state can't do it, then the Federal government shouldn't be able to. Am I being a dummy here?

Perfect analogy, Holmes. This is just like WWF "golden days", circa 1982. Barney Frank is playing a limp-wristed Capt. Lou Albano, Chrissy Dodd is Ted Dibiassi, Bob Corker is playing "Mean" Gene Aukerlund. I'm trying to figure out who is "Rowdy" Roddy Piper...
