When A Major Daily Closes Its Doors, An Angel Gets Its Wings

For starters, 85% of journalists have identified themselves with the Dim-O-Crack party, so any pretense of “objectivity” has long been a sham. I’ve always known it was a sham, as I have a degree in Journalism and went through the indoctrination process myself.
There’s a good reason the print medium is getting flushed down the crapper, and it’s not all due to the new media and the intarwebs. It’s because – particularly as we saw with the recent media-endorsed election of an empty socialist suit – the media has gotten bolder and bolder with letting their bias through. Take the Anti-American-Associated Press’ Matthew Brown, for example. A bunch of kids get killed in a plane crash, and the lead to his story is:
Seven children, all 9 or younger, were among those killed Sunday in Butte as their families were traveling to the Yellowstone Club near Yellowstone National Park for a skiing vacation.
Even in a tragedy such as this, these assholes are unable to conceal their hatred for the so-called “rich”. Quite an assumption there, Matthew, though not out-of-character for the AP. The left’s hatred for achievement is rivaled only by their revulsion at white, heterosexual, Christian families – it’s a tough call for them.
This is an organization that heaps awards on terrorists like Bilal Hussein. Tragic that he hasn’t been the subject of a Palestinian car swarm as of yet.
We’ve already decided to dump our local newspaper, the News-Sentinel, as it has been infected by the same diseases (a/k/a Jack McElroyitis) that long ago killed other birdcage liners such as my hometown Memphis Commercial Appeal, an absolute cesspool of class and racial hatred. We had already cut the KNS back to weekends, but we decided a while back that we’re done for good.
With the rate at which the print media is swirling around the bowl, we’re obviously not alone.

I read this over at MM’s yesterday evening. It made me sick to read those words, “headed for a retreat for the Ultra-Rich”. I heard about the plane crash yesterday morning while here at work. When the report stated that there were 14 people; 3 families with small children, I stopped what I was doing and immediately thought about my daughters. I just wanted to find my daughters and just hold them in my arms. My solemn thoughts are with these 3 families, two of which are related (sisters). Their poor parents were there waiting for them to arrive, and this tragedy takes place. It’s absolutely heart breaking.
Matthew Brown deserves a “Class Beating” by way of the other end of my low-budget Van’s shoes, attached to my feet.

You light up Memphrika’s Communist Appeal and Couchville’s Snooze Sensational the same week they fired the KAG hag and don’t even give a jab in the pork ribs to the Tennessean?
I’d argue that it’s worse than KNS and equal to the former.

Our local newspaper is one of the Gannet things; you know the local version of USA Today. It’s shrinking in size and seems to be losing ground against the “other, smaller” paper in town. The Gannet paper has run Doonesbury on the editorial page ever since. Agreed – there is a reason they’re going under – internet gives us choice of news and Craigslist gives the equivalent of classifieds. There’s no point in shouting back at a preacher full of bull, just walk away.
