Michael Steele Rejected By Chicago Tea Party Organizers

In a letter to Steele’s handlers from Eric Odom at the Don’t Go Movement:
That said, we’re still excited to know that Chairman Steele will be in Chicago and we hope, after knowing that he’ll be in the city, that he’ll stop by and mingle with the Americans who will be rallying on April 15th. This will also present a fantastic time for Chairman Steele to LISTEN to what we have to say and perhaps gather some thoughts on what the RNC needs to be doing moving forward.
With regards to stage time, we respectfully must inform Chairman Steele that RNC officials are welcome to participate in the rally itself, but we prefer to limit stage time to those who are not elected officials, both in Government as well as political parties. This is an opportunity for Americans to speak, and elected officials to listen, not the other way around.
And not just because he’s a douchebag who is intent on continuing the destruction of the GOP. Good because the GOP (especially the national GOP) has done nothing to earn any recognition from this authentic grass-roots free-market movement.
It’s bad enough that Newt (who just last year was sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi pretending to be all spooked by imaginary global warming) has suddenly re-emerged as an independent conservative trying to glom onto this movement. I used to be a big Newt fan, until he demonstrated that he’s no different than the rest of the political jackasses who blow with whichever direction they think the wind might be blowing.
Eric Odom put it perfectly – this isn’t a time for the same jackasses from the same two-party power structure to come run their mouths yet again. It’s a time for the silent majority to make their voices known and for the political classes to shut their mouths and listen (for once in their stinking lives).

I heard that.
The more and more I hear from Steele, the more he has convinced me that he is just some pol void of principle. Or worse, the principles that he does have belong to our enemies.
Likewise with Gingrich. Go be an advisor somewhere. His time has passed unless the media needs a new David Gergen.

Dittos here, Preston. There are commercials on one of the local conservative radio stations that have Newt voicing them that are promoting the Tea Parties. Glommed-on he is.

Steele is no better than Howard Dean in black face. He should be replaced with that guy doing the Thomas Paine videos, damn, can’t think of his name right now.

I really had high hopes early on for Steele, what a let down he has turned out to be. Newtster has a brilliant mind as it pertains to history, but his days as a leader are waaaaay past. He had discipline in the 90’s, now he’s just become an “appeaser” to get along and suck up to the “moderates”….

These various tea parties are not forums for politicians to pander to the latest craze. These sobs are the root of this ongoing assault on our Constitution and they need to keep their egos in their limos. Besides, Steele is a lousy tap dancer..
