A Poll
April 29th, 2009 at 4:41 pm by MicheleLess than one in four Americans identify themselves as “Republican”.
I assert that the percentages would be different if the respondents where asked if they identified more with the “Left” or the “Right”. Why would an informed conservative identify with the Republican party? Republican no longer means lower taxes and small, non-intrusive government. Congress was taken over by stampeding RINOs who wasted their majority by making an impact with the other side of the aisle. The informed conservative knows the aisle itself has been rubbed out and that the Republican party is populated by opportunistic politicians. These reasons have compelled me to start calling myself a Jeffersonian.
You know what these poll results mean to me? Of four respondents to a poll, one is a liberal, one is delusional, and two are considering the next Tea Party.

I’m in that group of conservatives that would not identify himself as a Republican. In fact, I am registered “independent”.
Good analysis, Michele…
