Good for you, Sarah

July 4th, 2009 at 1:36 pm by Nigel

Mrs. Palin, just ignore all of the “political experts” who are telling you how bad you just screwed up by resigning as governor.

Screw ‘em.

You’ve just faced a year of ridiculous scrutiny of your political and personal life…the harshness of which is possibly unprecedented in American history. Our current President has a mystery girl stashed away in the Carribean, a wife whose hospital salary was mysteriously tripled soon after Obama was elected Senator, and a growing list of scandalous abuses of power too numerous to drone on about here (though if challenged by a libtard I’d be happy to create a post about those in the future).

But our media wants to know if Trig is really your baby, our entertainers want to equate your children to prostitutes, and your own party wants you to stop being you.

Screw ‘em.

Go hang out with your family. Go write your book (heck, our current lord and savior has written TWO of them, which qualified him to be President).

And if/when you decide to jump back in the fight, most of us will welcome you back with open arms.

Those who don’t…well…Screw ‘em.

The biggest mistake is not announcing what she’s going to do. That lets the commies run around and make even more unsubstantiated claims and set the narrative before she does.

Is she going to go have more retarded babies, did she screw Mark Sanford, did she scrounge around a state project site to purloin loose wire for her igloo, etc., etc.

Also, it’s going to allow the same people who harassed her with fallacious ethics charges to do more now because she doesn’t have the megaphone of the governor’s mansion to fight back. It’s like Superman forsaking his powers and then wandering into a Black Panther Rally.

I want her to stay in it but she’s fighting the Democrats and the Republican establishment. The same morons who built the handicap ramp for McCain to get the nod are the same ones who are going to be pushing the Romney/Pawlenty 2012 ticket. Because McCain is not enough of a Democrat for them.

To hell with that nonsense. Which pretty much means to hell with the top 5 right-leaning blogs, magazines and editorial pages.

I think she’s getting an early jump on a campaign and doesn’t want to neglect her state for her own personal goals. Someone fresh comes in and she is able to focus on her run. She didn’t get where she is by being a shrinking violet, so I don’t think the scrutiny and insults are killing her.

What bugs me are the right-wing blogs who repeat every negative rumor about Palin that floats by them. If you’re a conservative and don’t like Palin, fine, make your points. But don’t be a useful idiot of the left and repeat everything about Sarah that the left poops out, i.e. she’s under FBI investigation, she’s getting a divorce, someone in the family is sick, she can’t take the criticism (laugh!) etc. Like Brian above says, sites like hotair.com have now gone the way of LGF, formerly great conservative sites that are now just tantrum outlets for some very confused and unethical people.
Screw ‘em six ways from Sunday.

I think she will ultimately take a job as a Fox News regular.
