Trillions of Reasons Why Universal Healthcare Won’t Work

July 16th, 2009 at 11:11 pm by Cranky

SnappedFish crunches the numbers and they aren’t pretty.

Let’s see, the GDP is around $14 Trillion right now. 17% of that would be $2.38 Trillion dollars. And that is per year folks!! And, the Socialists only want to spend $54 Billion per year on your health? So much for caring for you. However, it does look like they will be saving you money. Just don’t expect to get any health care out of it.

So, 97% of this country equals 291 million people. $54 billion for 291 million people equals $185 for each person. 45 million people are on Medicare while 55 million are on Medicaid currently. That leaves 191 million people for this bill to insure. That then allows an increase in your yearly medical coverage costs to $282 dollars. Doesn’t that sound better? I bet your heart is all a-glow knowing that Obama and his fellow Socialists think you are only worth $282 a year.

  1. Brian Says:

To get my vote, all anyone has to say is that they are going to repeal everything approved from Jan. 20, 2009 to Nov. 2010.

    Take me. I’m yours.

  2. Lemur Kind Says:

Now, with all the “Hope -n- Change” changes that only INCREASE what I pay, never decrease, you’d think that there’d be a massive backlash against the libtards.

You’d think wrong given that fully 30% of the people out there aren’t paying and only getting. Yep, you can always count on the vote of the people that you just give and give and give other people’s money to.

Oh yeah, this is better. And it’ll get betterer and betterer.

Best part? If it all passes, private insurance will wither and die.
