If Americans didn’t consider comedians to be political advisers this would be a different story though.

Honestly, you won’t want me around when the zombies come. I’ll be the first to get my head chewed off for leaning on my rifle and psychoanalyzing. That’s why I’m often mistaken for a liberal. Of course if I do get my head chewed off, you get a free AR15 and some ammo, so we should probably stay friends.

But I digress.

My “dander” isn’t really up. Actually I don’t care if Letterperv was a pig to his wife/girlfriend/whatever. Of course I do care that he was a pig to his subordinates.

The two consenting adults argument? It’s part of what is wrong with our moral fabric in this country. Letterman’s actions (and the reaction of his audience)were reprehensible. Sure he’s “just a comedian”, but he’s also a very powerful figure at CBS. Tell me that he didn’t wield that power over some of the women in his employ. And sure, those women probably “consented” and were perhaps culpable as well.

But the stench emmanating from the David Letterman show is too strong for me to tolerate.

And I’m still raging pissed at him for his attack on Palin’s daughters and his subsequent unapology.

Is he so desperate for jokes? Or does he wish to portray himself as a victim?

Whether he did it while married or not doesn’t matter. He was in a position of authority, and he slept with [apparently] more than one of his staffers while they were working for him. At most places of employment for the “unwashed masses”, this is grounds for employment termination.

I don’t understand why the extortionist thought Letterman would pay. Would expect there is evidence of WAY more than infidelity here if one was going to extort money.

I know my company’s harassment policy and I’ve got to be careful the way I tell somebody if they’re dressed nice today – so I just don’t. If I say it the wrong way I’m off to HR for sensitivity training. The policy for fraternizing is even worse and if you’re married it’s grounds for termination.

If it was no big deal then why was somebody trying to extort money from him? He could have just said, “you picked the wrong guy, buddy. My partner and I have an “understanding”.”

My beef is he’s a guy who has jumped all over the personal lives of Republicans and made sick jokes about their underage kids. Yea, he made a lot of cracks about Clinton when there was no way to ignore it anymore but come on. It’s almost a year after the election and you can still bank on a Sarah Palin joke in the first ten minutes of every show. Count on no Barack Obama jokes, period.

Without this, the only way I’m going to get any happier is if they find him doing his best David Carradine impersonation a few hours too late.

Maybe Paul can start playing porno music when he makes his way to the stage. Boom-chikki-wow-wow.

Liberals have no standards. The worst thing Letterman could have done would have been to be a faithful husband (they’ll nominate you for President if she has cancer) or a good father to his child (That’s what the government is for).

I’m sure there’s even more creepy things about Letterperv we don’t know about…and don’t really WANT to know about.

But hey, to a libtard it’s all good…morality don’t mean nothin’.

As far as David Letterman goes: a well-groomed, wealthy, seemingly friendly guy with a self-effacing sense of humor is a very attractive man at any age. I bet the girls didn’t have any regrets. Probably make a good collection of short stories.
