Please, please don’t draw any conclusions about the immigration status of the involved parties here. I’m sure their Hispanic surnames are not indicative of anything at all:

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a couple who went to dinner on Halloween and have not been seen or heard from since.

Guadalupe Amado-Garcia, 24 and Juan Enriquez, 37, both of El Cajon had argued on Saturday but then made up and went out to dinner, El Cajon police said.

They were supposed to return and take their children trick-or-treating but they never showed up, police said. She has three children from a different relationship, ages 2, 3 and 6, who were left with a babysitter. He has one child, police said.

Amado-Garcia’s mother became concerned when she did not hear from her daughter and called authorities.

Amado-Garcia is described as Latina, 5 feet 1 inches tall, about 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police did not have a description of Enriquez.

No description of Enriquez? Could it be that Enriquez doesn’t have a driver’s license or ID card?

OK, no matter. Turns out these two would be classic candidates for our White Trash Wednesday if they were…uh…white. Or if I had posted this on a Wednesday. For now let’s file this under F’ed-up parenting Friday. Bigoted, culturally insensitive comment to follow:

A couple who had been missing after they went to dinner Saturday night returned home Tuesday, El Cajon police said.

Amado-Garcia left her three children — ages 2, 3 and 6 — with a baby sitter, and was expected to return to take them trick-or-treating, police said. They had no idea where she was and she had no contact with anyone in her family until she returned.

She told officers that she and her boyfriend had been at a hotel and that she was 24 and “could do whatever she wants,” police said.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at the odds of these children growing up to be gangbangers with possibly illegal-alien parents who clearly don’t give a shit about them? Anyone want to bet that ole’ Lupe likely will be cranking out some more kiddies to leave for others to take care of? Not that it’s normal in Hispanic “immigrant” culture:

As if the unmarried Hispanic birthrate weren’t worrisome enough, it is increasing faster than among other groups. It jumped 5 percent from 2002 to 2003, whereas the rate for other unmarried women remained flat. Couple the high and increasing illegitimacy rate of Hispanics with their higher overall fertility rate, and you have a recipe for unstoppable family breakdown.

Oh. Of course there are bad white parents (I mean, just look at Levi Johnston). But mix uncaring parents with an environment rife with gang activity…well, you do the math.
