Diversity Is Never Your Strength
November 7th, 2009 at 1:22 pm by BrianSure, we can all take different socio-economic backgrounds, life experiences and what have you to bring additional perspectives to any project but looking beyond racial, ethnic, religious, gender, height, etc. to achieve your common goals is the measure of how far we’ve come as a society.
President Obama, extending condolences to the community at Fort Hood, Texas, reminded Americans on Saturday that people of “every race, faith and station” serve in the military — an oblique attempt to prevent a backlash against Muslims in the wake of Thursday’s shootings by an Army psychiatrist.
…
“They are Americans of every race, faith, and station,” he said. “They are Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and nonbelievers. They are descendents of immigrants and immigrants themselves. They reflect the diversity that makes this America .
That is exactly wrong. Christians and Jews aren’t fragging their comrades and yelling out “God Is Great” while doing it. There is a fundamental defect in Islam that Obama refuses to recognize and why he is partly responsible for what happened.
It’s the Flying Imams case in a military setting. People are afraid to bring the nutty things Hasan was saying to the fore and confront him because they are cowed by political correctness. They were afraid of being called racists even as their lives were being threatened and serious red flags being raised.
Maybe if Dr. Medicine Crow, the Congressional Medal of Honor non-winner told you that Hasan was sending dangerous smoke signals and that he had a peyote vision of bad mojo that you would pat him on the headdress for bitterly clinging to the traditions of his ancestors.
“We cannot fully know what leads a man to do such a thing,” the president said in the Saturday address.
Actually, we can. This “we can never know what drives men to do bad things” genuflecting is a load of bull. The shooter is alive. Fucking ask him! It’s Journalism 101. Of course we can know what leads men to do things. They’ll tell you if you’d be so kind as to put down your existential excuses and just listen to them.
Is it that hard to ask? Only if the answer is that you don’t want to know or refuse to recognize what the truth is.
And that’s the crux of our nation’s 12-step mentality. The people who can make a difference refuse to admit that we have a problem in the first place. Instead, we’ll rock back on some shopworn corporate Diversity seminar rigamarole about how a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, a black lesbian, two Samoan transgenders and an angry dwarf all walked into bootcamp at the same time without noting that the Muslim who was handing out Korans the morning of and praising suicide bombers was planning to kill all of them.
All the diversity in the world will never assimilate the person who does not believe in the goal of the team. So for everyone who likes the cliches about “diversity is our greatest strength”, please take a long look at the body count this week and note that it’s also your greatest weakness.
The Jawas have video up of an interview with one of Hasan’s mosque-mates post-shooting:
Duane : I’m not going to condemn him for what he did. I don’t know why he did it. I will not, absolutely not, condemn him for what he had done though. If he had done it for selfish reasons I still will not condemn him. He’s my brother in the end. I will never condemn him.
Gavin Lee : There might be a lot of people shocked to hear you say that.
Duane: Well, that’s the way it is. I don’t speak for the community here but me personally I will not condemn him.
Gavin Lee : What are your thoughts towards those that were victims in this?
Duane : They were, in the end, they were troops who were going to Afghanistan and Iraq to kill Muslims. I honestly have no pity for them. It’s just like the majority of the people that will hear this, after five or six minutes they’ll be shocked, after that they’ll forget about them and go on their day.
Sounds like somebody needs hugs. In five or six minutes “Duane” should be tracked down and questioned for his involvement and foreknowledge if his story doesn’t add up with what’s on Hasan’s computer.
If only there were some way we could know what’s going on in their minds. It’s really quite a mystery! Like “how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop” – the world may never know.
Or, we could just take their comments at face value and assume that the enemy is among us and that we’re usually protecting them under the flags of tolerance and diversity.
13 dead. The shooter to be canonized by the Left as a victim of tour extensions and PTSD (which he wasn’t) and “Duane” still walks the street to preach and teach hatred to all of tomorrow’s martyrs in our own country and underwritten on our dime.
UPDATE: Killer attended same mosque as September 11th attackers at the same time they were there!
If there were only some way we could “connect the dots”. No sense in trying, I guess. Or even asking. Who knows what drives mad men to do the things they do? It’s much more thoughtful to sit there and stroke your chin about What Can Never Be Known than to get to the bottom of it.
Oh, here it is! He attends radical mosques that preach hate against our country and encourages this type of “acting out” as our nanny-state SMART DIPLOMACY overlords are wont to say. At least he’s not listening to that Glenn Beck. He’s the real terrorist after all.

I wouldn’t jump to conclusions about this so quickly, B-Mac. It’s not like some White Cop with a chip the size of Arizona on his shoulder that arrests some uppity Black Af-Am Professor for no reason at all! /sarc

Yes, diversity is a false god. But one that will claim its harvest all the same. “Diversity” really means deconstruction.
