10 Year Old Gets Tasered.

OZARK, Ark. — Ozark Police Chief Jim Noggle says one of his officers used a Taser on a 10-year-old girl who was combative when the officer tried to get the girl into a patrol car to be taken to a youth shelter.
Noggle said Tuesday that officer Dustin Bradshaw went to the girl’s home after her mother called police woman called police. (UH EDITOR?)
According to a report filed by Bradshaw on Thursday, the officer found the girl on the floor of the house screaming and crying. She refused to follow her mother’s instructions and the mother told Bradshaw to use his Taser.
The mother told Bradshaw to use his Taser. Imagine what it felt like for that child.
Bradshaw carried the girl to the living room and told her she was going to jail, according to the report.
Told her she was going to jail. Good way to calm her down.
The girl was violently kicking, the report said, and struck Bradshaw in the groin with her legs and feet. The report said Bradshaw administered a “very, very brief” stun with the Taser, put the girl in handcuffs and carried her to his patrol car. She was taken to the Western Arkansas Youth Shelter in Cecil.
Poor child. I hope she finds a way to get over the trauma.
No word on how hard that officer hit the pavement when he was booted off the force.

Proper procedure was used, the kid is alive, the cop is unhurt and this is a WIN-WIN situation… He could have beat her ass I guess, maybe that would make you happy…

Forget how moronic the cop was…THE MOTHER asked for the kid to be tasered? WTF?!?!?!
Fred, I support police using force…in fact, I often don’t have any problem with police using “excessive force” if they have to. But tasing a 10-year old whose only weapon is her feet to the groin? I certainly hope YOUR weren’t ever a LEO if your ability to control a 10 year old relies on a taser.

If a cop can’t out-smart and out muscle a 10 year old girl, that cop has no business wearing the uniform.
Besides, wtf was the cop involved in this anyways? The brat didn’t want to take a shower so mama calls the cops? What crime is that.

Speaking out IS allowed here…did anyone “ban” you or edit your comment? You took a position that using the taser on a 10-year old girl was necessary…and you were slapped down for it.
If you still think you are right about this, don’t take your beatdown like a whiny little bitch…get right back up and defend your position. Or if you feel justifiably chastised, give us a mea culpa and all is good. We’d respect you more either way.
But don’t use the “absolute moral authority” card on Michele by saying she’d “obviously never been a LEO”. Are you kidding me? Michele has more “AMA” in this matter than any “LEO”…she is a mother.

He’s been around here long enough to know we’re anything but a bunch of “bleeding heart liberals”, but if he wants to fly off the handle like a 10-year-old girl, he can go for it.

It’s nice that we can all agree to disagree on the important issues. Sheesh.
Reasonable people can have a legitimate difference of opinion. At the end of the day cops are public servants however I don’t believe taking requests from piss poor parents to tase their 11 year old girl falls into that category. Cops are trained to put up with a lot more than Strawberry Shortcake with a potty mouth.
And there are grey lines through all of this. It’s not that unusual for some 13 year old boys to be 6 feet tall and 200 lbs. but in this scenario you’ve got one of Jerry Springer’s out-of-control pre-teens. If one cop couldn’t handle this she-hulk Hannah Montana then he should have wiped his vagina and called in another cop to help.
In a perfect world mama and daddy would be administering parental justice without calling John Law. My degree is in criminal justice. I know plenty of cops and jailers.

Fred, more than anyone, should understand the role of the police in CRIME dectection and prevention.
I await hearing from Fred what CRIME the child was committing. The cop’s got no authority to take any action here.
Even if there were a crime, Fred, there are regulations on taser use. Most jurisdictions authorise taser use to as a substitute for a pistol – to protect agaist deadly force.
A ten year old’s tantrum? Deadly force? Are you fucking kidding me?

You liberals make me sick. The child was disobedient to her mother and the mother asked the cop to use the taser. And then the child kicked the cop in the nuts!
Have you panty-waists ever been kicked in the nuts? Because none of you hippies here even HAVE nuts, you wouldn’t know about the emotional pain involved in being humiliated by a 9-year old girl.
As someone who has been picked on and kicked in the nuts since I was a little boy, I can tell you that the girl is lucky the cop did not take his service revolver out and blow the little bitch’s head off (as he rightly SHOULD have).
