The most amazing thing about this Maryville native is that I can’t believe I’m now gonna be rooting for Notre Dame (once a year). We knew Kiffykins was a slimeball…but he was our slimeball. Good riddance.

Lane Kiffin may be a slimeball, but he’s not even close the level of Slick Rick Neuheisel. Ask a Buffalo fan. Besides, there’s no way little Ricky can muster the coaching fortitude to beat Kiffin.

Sorry Mike, can’t let that slam of Coach Rick go unchallenged. He made mistakes at Colorado and was caught up in that stupid (his stupidity) NCAA basketball pool thing at Washington, but UCLA completely vetted him with the NCAA before hiring him and he has been 100% clean since taking over.
You have evidence to the contrary, please let me know.
Meanwhile…Kiffin wasn’t in Knoxville for three weeks before he had already committed a few NCAA violations. The potential violations the University of South Central are facing mostly occurred while Kiffin was serving under Cheatey Petey and likely with his knowledge. With the NCAA bearing down on the Toejams, Kiffin is so arrogant he already has assistants contacting Tennessee recruits and telling them not to attend classes because USC has a scholarship waiting for them:

You still want to claim Neuheisel is worse than Hello Kiffin? And I don’t know if you will still be hanging around the Buffet next autumn, but I’ll bet you a Ruth’s Chris steak that UCLA kicks SC’s ass next year. We were already digging into trOJan recruits before Pete the Chimp bailed on LA…now we are raking them in.

Thanks for the correction. I see what you mean. Leaving a team in the middle of the night while their porn for players scandal festers to a head, then getting fired for a gambling addiction is NOTHING compared to what Kiffin did.

By the way…Ruth’s Chris is for dogs. I’ll take your bet, if you’re talking cash value, though.
As for “raking in” recruits, I’m not exactly sure where you’re getting your info from. If it’s from babybluenation.com then I guess I can do the math from there.

Mike, I’m not getting into this with you…we have a difference of opinion. My point was that Neuheisel has been spotless while at UCLA, while Kiffin was involved in numerous improprieties during his first stint at SC (I listed them in a previous comment threat here at the Buffet), he went to Tennessee and committed 6 more NCAA infractions in less than 1 season, then he leaves again for USC and keeps right on cheating.
And if you want to snub my friendly wager by acting like a dick, I guess we have no wager. Last time I was at the Del Mar Ruth’s Chris, I didn’t see many “dogs”…however a vice-President for Qualcomm was at my table. But you are a better man than us both.

Look, Nigel. I call it like I see it. You may root for ND once a year. There must be some serious pent-up hatred. I only root AGAINST ucla once a season. Other than that, I’m all for those boys in baby-blue.
Bringing this whole issue up to curry favor among Tennessee fans is a little questionable, in my opinion.
You brought the untowardly behavior of one coach up. I simply reminded you that YOUR man isn’t white as snow, either. Apparently, that was too much.
You chose to get offended. I, on the other hand am not at all offended by your comments. Sure, Kiffin has done wrong. Pretending a 3-year hiatus from all wrong-doing makes your boy a better man is sheer stupidity, though.
As for your preference for Ruth’s Chris, may you dine in health. It’s not my choice for the price. I’d be happy to wager whatever else you want for next December’s matchup.
