By the looks of our current foreign policy, it appears they meant it as a compliment since we are paying a much ballyhooed “moderate” radical cleric to incite terrorism abroad and bring back souvenirs when we’re not paying him to piss on the charred remains of the World Trade Center and run a victory lap while flicking us the bird.
Steve Emerson has unearthed 13 hours of audio tape of Imam Rauf. Emerson and his team of investigators has spent the past four weeks going through the newly found material. Rauf is a “radical extremist cleric who cloaks himself in sheep’s clothing.”
Among the shocking revelations Emerson’s team will reveal next week — they found Rauf:
Defending wahhabism – a puritanical version of Islam that governs Saudi Arabia
Calling for the elimination of Israel by claiming a one-nation state, meaning no more Jewish State.
Defending Bin Laden’s violence
Demonstrating that there is a lot more to this man than merely a cleric.
Whatever happened to Separation of Church and State? Oh, I get it. That only applies to Christian churches. Or, when you need to rob your neighbor’s pocket.
We’re getting the form of Obama’s 2012 campaign slogan:
“A mosque on every corner and a chicken in every roost!”
I must admit that’s a bit catchier than:
“An SEIU thug in every HR office and a recess appointed Communist mole in every embassy.”
and a far cry better from:
“Uranium in every missile and a Jew in every oven.”
At some point, everybody’s got to realize that he’s not on our side. Right?

My cup is starting to run over. I don’t think I can tolerate reading anymore about this guy. They finally took over his pet bank in Illinois. And delivered its assets to all of his cronies. Zero hedge had a great read on it.
I dislike Obama intensely. He is a narcissistic sociopath that doesn’t give two shits about anything other than becoming rich, elite, and powerful. And lying. The more I read, the worse it gets. Thinking about just watching pron and sports.

Wicked – I think you just described our lack of posting activity.
I consider myself a fairly well-read current events type of guy. In other words, an inhabitant of a micro-minority of the population.
Nobody is paying attention. They live in these little solipsistic worlds where anything outside of their immediate work (if they still have it) and their DVRs is not only foreign but of no interest at all. Smart, well-educated people who have practically no idea of how close we are to the edge. It’s worse than them not knowing – it’s that they don’t care.
That’s when your civilization collapses. I’d say when your civilization declines but we’ve been speeding down that slope for a while.

Ditto. I’m totally tuned in, but too dispirited and busy to spend time posting. Whatever energy I have left after real life is going to likely be spent on something other than a carefully crafted blog post that might amuse me and a few others, but will likely not make much difference. We will soon find out (this November) if the idiots in this country are waking up or if they’ve all still got their fingers in their asses watching Jersey Shore and going around with their hats on backwards listening to rap. I’m not optimistic.

He is actually a member of the erudite Council on Foreign Relations Advisory Board and got a good bit of his funding from the big tax-exempt foundations I tend to go on about. The people pushing this aren’t the Muslims you think – why don’t we just ask David Rockefeller why he’s trying to bankroll a project designed to piss off America?

Anyone or group of anyones who want to transform you means that they don’t like you in the first place. Guys–just think of the last girlfriend you had who wanted to do this. Same for the women–think about the last time you had a guy who wanted to transform you into something that you currently are not.
Unless you WANT to be what that transformation is (and I’d guess it hasn’t been “revealed” to you exactly everything the transformation of YOU is supposed to be), then walk away. Or, this time, we vote all of it out in Nov 2010 and 2011 and 2012. It’s all gotta go. And, it ain’t gonna go easily. Like parasites, they’re laced in the muscle as well as the fat of gov’t. And, yes, there is muscle of govt. Think Military. Think Homeland Security. Think ICE. Think . . .

This is what a Global Depression feels like, a lethargy of spirit and soul due to the inability of stopping this slow murder of what we hold dear, at the hands of terminally stupid people. We are witnessing liberalism’s end game. The only way to turn this around is to starve the source of power, to kill the beast. Washington is still the most powerful city in the world. It’s only true federal function exists between 1st St NE and 17th St NW (east-west) and a block north of Pennsylvania Ave to a block south of the Mall (north-south). Give the rest of the cesspool back to Maryland. Shitcan the cabinet-level agencies, revise the War Department and keep the Treasury (sans the Federal Reserve and the IRS) and completely filet the State Department (that alone will improve our standing in the world, not to mention regain respect our might). End the direct election of Senators and term limit the House to two terms with election via lottery of qualified voters per district (leadership posts via lottery as well). Lobbying would go the way of buggy whip salesmen and entrenched Congressional staffers (the power behind the suits) are banished from within 50 miles of the Federal District and cannot be rehired after serving in one Congressional session.
