This Mentally Ill Early Warning Detection System Has Been Working Great For Me
January 16th, 2011 at 9:56 pm by BrianIf Ed Rendell stumbles on the answer, I’m not sure it was a valid question:
During a “Face the Nation” appearance, Rendell called for an “early detection system” designed to keep mentally unstable individuals from buying guns.
Why stop with guns? Should these same mental defects be allowed to vote either? You can do a lot more damage with the latter.
What about having kids? Operating a motor vehicle? As long as we’re putting a permanent child safety lock on one of the Amendments to the Constitution, what stops us from slapping one on any of the others or our “privileges”?
Dangerous is dangerous after all.
Taking that into consideration, I thought I’d share my early warning system with Homeland Security as it’s foolproof and is available for the low, low price of a pair of eyeballs.

Excellent point! A gun is a right stated under the 2nd Amendment. A driver license is considered a PRIVILEGE in every state and commonwealth in the U.S. Such information can be checked through the driver licensing compact that every state/commonwealth is signed onto these days (I thank my ol’ pal, Ron, for telling me about the d.l. compact).
And, yes, no one says a person has the “right” to own archery equipment (incl. crossbow), knives, home made/fashioned weapons. We can really go on with this stuff that falls somewhere between “right to own” and “privilege to possess.” So, Guv. Rendell, let’s REALLY get down to that ol’ nitty-gritty and make a big statemente about the mentally ill and things they can use to hurt/kill others AND themselves.

For brevity’s sake, I left out the obvious attempts by liberals to conduct “studies” indicating that conservativism is a mental illness that they usually do about 2-4 times a year (which are also usually followed by a roundhouse rebuttal of the fake science they used to seize a headline).
We already had an early warning system. Sheriff Dupeshit slept through the siren.
