Paris Attorney-General Yves Bot told Europe 1 radio that the riots were not spontaneous outbursts of anger and frustration from within immigrant communities.

Rather, he said, they had been organised, with “genuine tactics of mobility” involving masked young men on motorcycles hurling petrol bombs, and Internet appeals for young people to join in in other towns and cities.

“The movement is mainly directed against the institutions of the republic – but it does not have any ethnic character,” he added.

French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy has tried to stand firm but is naturally being shouted down and ordered to apologize by the androgynously named Dominique De Villepin and asked to resign by the Communist and Green (same difference?) parties:

Sarkozy’s tough language describing the rioting youths as “hoodlums” and “scum” as well as the apparent lobbing by riot police of a teargas grenade into a mosque in Clichy-sous-Bois are also considered causes for the intensity of the unrest.

On Saturday, Villepin told the rector of the Paris mosque, Dalil Boubakeur, that police had not intentionally targetted the mosque, but that it was the result of an “unfortunate accident”.

Boubakeur went on to indirectly criticise Sarkozy by calling on the government to issue “words of peace”.

“Words of peace” stop arsonists in their tracks?

In a recent interview with shameless Bush mouthpiece Hugh Hewitt, the omnirelevant Mark Steyn offers troubling observations on the roots of France’s Muslim animus:

I went to one of these suburbs that’s currently ablaze three years ago. And what was interesting to me is I had to bribe a taxi driver a considerable amount of money just to take me out there. They’re miserable places. But what was interesting to me is that after that, I then flew on to the Middle East, and I was in Yemen, and a couple of other places. And what was interesting to me was that I found more menace in the suburbs of Paris than I did in some pretty scary places in the Middle East. I mean, there is a real…this, I think, is the start of a long Eurabian civil war we’re witnessing here.

They’re places where the writ of the French state does not run. The police don’t police there. They basically figure if you go there, you’re on your own. You’re taking your own chances there. I mean, I don’t think Americans understand quite the degree of alienation of some of these groups.

UPDATE 11/06: Mark Steyn has finally turned the subject of his radio interview into a full-fledged column, “Wake up, Europe, you’ve a war on your hands”:

Ever since 9/11, I’ve been gloomily predicting the European powder keg’s about to go up. ”By 2010 we’ll be watching burning buildings, street riots and assassinations on the news every night,” I wrote in Canada’s Western Standard back in February.

What to do? In Paris, while ”youths” fired on the gendarmerie, burned down a gym and disrupted commuter trains, the French Cabinet split in two, as the ”minister for social cohesion” (a Cabinet position I hope America never requires) and other colleagues distance themselves from the interior minister, the tough-talking Nicolas Sarkozy who dismissed the rioters as ”scum.” President Chirac seems to have come down on the side of those who feel the scum’s grievances need to be addressed.

What started out as a group of young mohammad wanna-bes throwing a few rocks and trying to behead infidel electric cars has grown into an out-of-control crisis in the Paris suburbs.

For the seventh straight night, the riots continue, with each night getting worse than the previous and spreading to at least 20 towns.

Like most of the Old Media, the press is having a really hard time including the word “muslim” or “islamic” when talking about the “impoverished rioters”. In this CBS story, it takes about six paragraphs to finally get to the fact that these are primarily muslim immigrants from north Africa who’ve come to turn France into their dream Eurabian wasteland.

The Commissar has aptly pointed out that a glance at the Google News headlines reporting the riots is empty of any reference to islam, the Old Media’s official religion.

I don’t know if it’s cowardice or because the media has a beaten-wife complex when it comes to islam. The battered wife defends her abusive husband with lines like “oh, he just has a drug problem… he really loves me… he doesn’t mean to blacken both my eyes… I can’t leave him… he needs me… if I leave him, he’ll have no one to punch…”

The media, despite the fact that the islamofascists would slash their throats if they only had the opportunity and the power, defends their would-be assailants similarly with “oh, they don’t really mean it when they slaughter children… they’re not really like that… they’re good people, just like you and me…. islam is a religion of peace… Christians are the real taliban…”

I feel a little guilty for having just a twinge of concern for the French people. They brought this on themselves with their hyper-apologetic multi-cultural open-borders-created cesspool. Their government is corrupt to the core and got rich off of Saddam’s blood money, financially enabling the Hussein reign of terror and standing in our way all the while.

I always thought that France would fall apart from the inside once the muslims had the numbers to establish islamic law at the ballot box. I guess they didn’t feel like waiting that long.

I suppose I can best sum my reaction up using the words of two diseased thinkers. First, Ward “I’m an Injun, I swear!” Churchill: “The chickens are coming home to roost.” Last, and least, the Daily Kock: “Screw ‘Em!”

The French, led by their spineless, corrupt leader, Jacques “The Worm” Chirac, are seeking to outlaw “sexist and homophobic” comments. That’s right, you call somebody an ass-pirate, and you’re going to jail for up to a year. Then you’ll find out what ass-pirate really means.

Chirac is trying to force the law into the French law books without any political lubricant whatsoever, which is causing a great deal of pain and discomfort for French lawmakers.

As freedom of expression disappears in the EU – you can bet your sweet ass that the United Nations will use this type of legislation to globally police the internet – making blogs like this one a thing of the past.

This is one of the many reasons why I recommend that, as soon as we’re finished in Iraq, we annihilate France. France is nothing more than a festering open sore on the anus of humanity – rest assured we’ll be doing the rest of the planet a favor.

Or, if we’re really lucky, the islamofascists will do it for us, since they’re on the verge of taking over that worthless hell-hole anyway. It would certainly be a waste of taxpayer money to deplete our munitions reserves by flattening those bastards.

Iraqi terrorists hand over French hostages.

What more proof do you need that the French have been in collusion with the islamofascists all along? They are allies, only because they have a common enemy: the United States.

The French are quick to cooperate with any islamists because their own open borders have allowed their muslim immigrant population to spread like wildfire – making them a highly influential political force. Additionally, due to the violent and brutal nature of the jihadists, this is one special interest group that has to be cow-towed to, under penalty of death.

In American politics, we have our own special interest groups, but the only threats they make are withholding voting blocs. When you have an islamofascist special interest group the size of the one in France, it’s no wonder the French government pays them protection money as if they were a schoolyard bully demanding their milk money.

This is just another in a long line of reasons to despise the French and hate the terrorists. It’s hard to say which is worse – the terrorists or the governments that empower and enable them.

This demonstrates just how depraved French anti-semitic culture has become. It was also an opportunity lost – with 3 French idiots vs. 50 students, this was no contest. The Frenchies should have been given the kind of collective beating that would have hospitalized them for weeks, but instead they were given a pass by the pacifist students and Polish authorities.

Versailles, France: Mother, baby attacked on train.

For the French, it’s just another case of “here we go again…” Some of France’s finest imported muslims attacked a woman and her baby because they thought she was a Jew.

These gutsy young men – showing the kind of bravery often seen in the Religion of Peace – robbed the woman, drew swastikas on her body and overturned her baby carriage, dumping out her 13-month-old baby.

Not that this will be a surprise to anyone, but what did the other brave passengers on the train do to help? In fine anti-semitic French tradition, they looked the other way.

While this demonstrates that yet another Frenchie is insane, it doesn’t change the fact that anti-Semitism in France is epidemic. It also doesn’t change the fact that France is well on its way to being completely over-run by “peace-loving” muslims. So, while the story is bunk, the cynical commentary remains.

Now they’ve given me another reason, as if I didn’t already have plenty.

It was reported last week that Brigitte Bardot was fined by a Paris court for “inciding racial hatred” by speaking the truth about the islamization of France (and for a few other assorted comments regarding homosexuals and the unemployed). And, in France, when you offend muslims, homosexuals and the unemployed, you’re referring to a big percentage of the population…

I don’t see where she said anything that’s not common knowledge about the islamofascists. Now Mme. Bardot has to fork over $6,000 for daring to speak honestly about the insurgents and their invasion of France. She was even fined several months ago for stating that “France was being overrun by sheep-slaughtering Muslims.” And quite frankly, it really couldn’t happen to a nicer country. If Brigitte wasn’t such an animal-rights nutcase, I’d start a collection for her defense fund.

It’s this kind of thought-police political correctness that is right around the corner for us if we, as a country, don’t show some backbone against the leftist Old Media and government half-wits who want to control not only what we are allowed to say, but also what we are allowed to think.

But I digress… back to the putrid hell-hole that is France.

Here is an excellent piece from Olivier Guitta regarding the islamization of France and the influence of Saudi-style Wahhabism on the 5-to-8 million muslims living there.

It’s a great read if you really want to see how France has left itself open to be eaten alive internally through its own open borders and hyper-tolerance. It’s only a matter of time before France falls (not that that takes much effort) to islamofascism, and the usurpers won’t even have to bother with employing terrorist tactics. This is why you will not see a terrorist attack in France. Why should the terrorists strike Paris? They’re already on track for taking over the country by overrunning it!

And don’t be bamboozled by stories like these.

These terror arrests in France are merely window-dressing. They’re not about to really overturn the mosques and enrage 10% of their population, who they already know are unstable and violent by nature. The only country on earth serious about turning back the islamofascist barbarians is the United States – and unfortunately, that’s the way it’s going to stay.

Anyone with half a brain knows that France is one of our biggest enemies and it’s time to start treating them accordingly. The French have always sucked, but now they’re taking sides against us and the rest of the rational West. Perhaps it’s the fact that they’re overrun with muslims, perhaps it’s because they’re a bunch of gutless cowards and always have been.

Anyway, when things like this happen, I don’t lose any sleep. In fact, I try not to chuckle. The French have earned any ills that befall them.
