I haven’t had a minute to process this yet but short of a nuclear attack on Hawaii this is about the worst news someone from Tennessee could expect to hear today.

The pair died of apparent gunshots wounds and were found in an apartment near the old General Hospital on Rolling Mill Hill. The woman, sources say, was approximately 20 years of age.

While details are sketchy at this time, NashvillePost.com sources say that the scene could be double homicide, a murder/suicide, or made to look like a murder/suicide. Metro Police said they have identified the woman, but are not releasing her name until the family has been notified.

What’s certain is that the unnamed woman at the scene is not his wife which opens a range of possibilities to the motive but it’s no excuse. If your spouse or girlfriend is cheating on you then get a divorce. If they ruin your life for what they did to you why let them ruin the rest of your life by going to jail over it?

That’s not speculating on what’s happened. No one knows what that is yet. But if the motive was not money then that narrows it down.

Naturally, many of our liberal friends are rushing to comment on this story as an example of how legal gun owners being allowed to carry their weapons into a restaurant is the same thing as someone either breaking in or being invited into McNair’s residence and shooting him dead.

Not quite the point, fellas. The point is that this city has gotten so dangerous under Chief Ronal Serpas’ Reign of Error that we have to maintain the right to defend ourselves. We have a meter maid at police chief who would rather harass people going 6 miles over the speed limit than putting the serious criminals away and no one can dispute that.

It’s a note I’ve been playing for quite some time.

Either way, it’s a sad day for the McNair Family, the city, the state, the sport and I hope they bring the person or people who did this to justice.

Screw ‘em.

You’ve just faced a year of ridiculous scrutiny of your political and personal life…the harshness of which is possibly unprecedented in American history. Our current President has a mystery girl stashed away in the Carribean, a wife whose hospital salary was mysteriously tripled soon after Obama was elected Senator, and a growing list of scandalous abuses of power too numerous to drone on about here (though if challenged by a libtard I’d be happy to create a post about those in the future).

But our media wants to know if Trig is really your baby, our entertainers want to equate your children to prostitutes, and your own party wants you to stop being you.

Screw ‘em.

Go hang out with your family. Go write your book (heck, our current lord and savior has written TWO of them, which qualified him to be President).

And if/when you decide to jump back in the fight, most of us will welcome you back with open arms.

Those who don’t…well…Screw ‘em.

War Heroes. This is the account of PVT Channing Moss, who was impaled by a live RPG during a Taliban ambush while on patrol. Army protocol says that medevac choppers are never to carry anyone with a live round in him. Even though they feared it could explode, the flight crew said damn the protocol and flew him to the nearest aid station. Again, protocol said that in such a case the patient is to be put in a sandbagged area away from the surgical unit, given a shot of morphine and left to wait (and die) until others are treated. Again, the medical team ignored the protocol. Here’s a seven-minute video put together by the Military Times, which includes actual footage of the surgery where Dr. John Oh, a Korean immigrant who became a naturalized citizen and went to West Point, removed the live round with the help of volunteers and a member of the EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) team. Channing Moss has undergone six operations but is doing well at home in Gainesville, GA. To me, this is one of the most amazing stories of Military Battlefield and Operating Room Courage I’ve ever heard. I think you’ll find the video pretty remarkable . It makes me proud to be American knowing that there are people like Pfc Channing Moss, Major John Oh, and Staff Sargent Matt Brown serving our country and protecting what we often take for granted every day.

The only thing threatening to have more sequels. Set the stage for Porkulus 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: All The Little Piggies Come Home

With a vengeance.

We’re going to need a bigger stimulus. But does the president know that?

…

Wait — there’s more bad news: the fiscal crisis of the states. Unlike the federal government, states are required to run balanced budgets (ed. – The Horror!). And faced with a sharp drop in revenue, most states are preparing savage budget cuts, many of them at the expense of the most vulnerable (ed. – *scream*).

It gets better. Krueger, er, Krugman admits that the Trillions in stimulus Obama spent has failed but that the solution is to keep digging until we hear bill collectors demanding last month’s payment in Chinese.

Like any good tent-preaching faith healer, Krugman then slaps Republicans out of their wheelchair for the porkulus failure and claims The Pig did not oink prosperity because their faith in it was not strong enough. Luckily, Kruggy can reuse the fedora for his own version of Indiana Jones and the Last Economic Crusade – a harrowing tale of faith, devotion and wasteful, pet project deficit spending as Kruggy squares off against an 800 year-old templar knight in his Quest For the Holy Fail.

Hundreds of billions under Bush, thousands of billions under Obama who’s taken over the insurance industry, the auto industry and threatening to take over healthcare – but no, it’s not enough yet. Maybe he can declare every breath we take as polluting the planet and tax that too! Oh, wait.

Obama administration economists understand the stakes. Indeed, just a few weeks ago, Christina Romer, the chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers, published an article on the “lessons of 1937” — the year that F.D.R. gave in to the deficit and inflation hawks, with disastrous consequences both for the economy and for his political agenda.

If not for the country, do it for your legacy! The Great Depression wasn’t dragging on for 15 years because of bad policies coming out of Washington but because the government wasn’t taxing the CO2 produced by the people in the soup lines enough.

Hey Brother, can you spare a carbon credit?

Krugman inadvertently provides the solution for the NY Times ever-dwindling bank – just keep printing more papers. If you didn’t sell a million, print five million. Tell HR to hire more people. It’s bulletproof. Don’t listen to those guys with the sales numbers. They’re just like Republican obstructionists who want the country to fail.

I’m confused when I hear people talk about Obama sending mixed messages. He is in no way inconsistent.

Whether you are referring to Iran, or Israel or Honduras, he is objectively anti-democracy.

There is no line you can cross that is so offensive that we won’t still sit down and chat about how you’re feeling as Father Oprah. Make threats that you’re going to attack us. Fire missiles towards our states. Threaten war. Threaten death to our country. Send your troops to attack our troops because they are bringing democracy in your backyard.

In terms of arrogance, you can’t get much better than patting a rogue dictator on the head while asking him why’s he acting out so much as if he had too much Capri Sun before beddy-bye time.

And the Honduras thing. Just read this. In the Christian Science Monitor of all places. It is a sad time to be an American when the mistake our misguided neighbors and family members elected to office is suppressing democracy in favor of a Marxist thug and is attempting to install him back to his wrongful place.

And so the United States now finds itself in league with the likes of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, the latter of whom has threatened war on the nascent Honduran government. In his weekly newspaper column, Castro gloated about American support for Zelaya, writing that “Even Mrs. Clinton had declared that Zelaya is the only president of Honduras, and the Honduran coup leaders can’t even breathe without the support of the United States.”

This is nothing short of wrong. Our country’s support of Zelaya is sentencing Honduras to Venezuela’s fate. Siding with Castro to boot while he taunts the people who followed the rules against his protege.

If the Honduran people can fight off the advances of the so-called civilized world, maybe we can recruit some of them to help take our’s back.

It’s too obvious the people who call themselves Republicans don’t have the guts of the dirt poor Hondurans who are at least fighting off the advances of a dictator drunk with power.

When asked what he thought about the North Koreans firing another four missiles off in violation of the last weakly worded UN resolution, the goo-gobbling bag of snacks Robert Gibbs offered up the following:

Even as the North Koreans tested four more missiles this week, the White House said Thursday that tough new United Nations sanctions are showing signs of working.

…

“I think it is clear the sanctions are having an impact,” Gibbs said.

When asked what the U.S. was doing in response to the most recent round of threats and missile tests from the country, Gibbs said “first and foremost, the administration is working to ensure the vigorous implementation of those sanctions.”

“We continue to watch the North Koreans,” Gibbs said. “They continue to do and say what they do and say.”

Seriously. What the hell does that mean? I’ve read it close to twenty times and the Gibbs shallow tautology is only matched by his lack of concern that Obama’s Poontang Diplomacy is encouraging crazier behavior than usual.

If firing a bunch of missiles and doing and saying and saying and doing everything that would lead a sane person to believe that they are getting ready to test another nuclear weapon equals sanctions are working, what’s the definition of success look like?

I’m guessing something like this -

Eureka! Another victory for Team 0!

Not to worry. The USS John McCain took matters into it’s own hands the only way an independent renegade like it’s namesake knows how.

After losing the North Korean vessel suspected of carrying arms to Burma, the warship responded in characteristic Maverick fashion by launching a cruise missile strike on Sarah Palin while it’s tender, the USS Meghan McCain, hosted a gay pride rally on it’s poop deck.

I know I’m going along with the media and beating this dead horse, but this article is just too good to pass up. This to me, is Michael Jackson’s true eulogy:

OK, I said it — and it’s about time somebody had the nerve to say what millions of people must feel and believe about the once-talented black man who turned himself into a white woman before turning himself into a monster.

But you’d never know any of that if you’d listened for the past week to the endless prattle from the sickening, fawning media and all those Hollywood music phonies who were crying crocodile tears over someone they’d mostly avoided like, well, a pedophile.

The writer is a friend of one of the victims, so you should read the whole thing.

The way I see it, asking us to remember Michael Jackson as a magnificent talent is like asking us to remember John Wayne Gacy for being a hilarious clown.
