In a moment of civil disobedience that eclipses the Occupy Wall Street goons, these veterans kicked down the hastily erected barricades that Barack Hussein Obama’s self-directed goons put in their way less than several hours after the start of the government shutdown.
After all, how can an open air memorial not operate without park rangers making sure that veterans aren’t shitting all over their own memorial?
The White House and the Department of the Interior rejected a request from Rep. Steven Palazzo’s office to have World War II veterans visit the World War II memorial in Washington, the Mississippi Congressman told The Daily Caller Tuesday.
Palazzo helped the veterans commit an act of civil disobedience against the Park Service Tuesday, when the heroes stormed through barricades around the closed memorial.
The veterans were visiting the memorial as part of Honor Flight, a non-profit that provides veterans free transport to the nation’s capital to visit the memorials to the wars they fought in.
This is not merely petty. It is a vindictive and spiteful premeditated attack on veterans. Had this been the Gay and Transgendered Protesters of Foreign Wars Memorial, Obama would have ordered a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient to stand guard over it in drag.
“We got the heads up that they will be barricaded and specifically asked for an exception for these heroes,” Palazzo told TheDC. “We were denied and told, ‘It’s a shutdown, what do you expect?’ when we contacted the liaison for the White House.”
This event and ones that are most certainly in the pipeline by him and his anti-American minions are going facilitate a Concord moment if it continues which is almost guaranteed. A revolution against this premeditated assault and unwarranted disrespect for the people who Obama sees as the enemy. This alien President gets his rocks off sticking his boney, fucking middle finger in the faces of the people who made this country great.
Who orders barricades put around war memorials mere hours after a continuing resolution isn’t passed? Who? I’ll tell you who. The same motherfucker who shut off White House visits for school kids – that’s who.
One day, possibly even soon, someone is going to show him the error of his ways. They can start by sending one of his goons to the hospital. Better yet, start sending loyal members of his stenography pool to the hospital. In the spirit of “think globally, act locally”, just find one of his supporters with a bumper sticker on their car and send them to the hospital. Would you tolerate someone driving around with a Nazi symbol on their car? They didn’t care for our WWII veterans that much either.]]>
The U.S. Navy doubled its presence in the eastern Mediterranean over the past week, effectively adding two destroyers to the three that generally patrol the region. The five destroyers are carrying a combined load of about 200 Tomahawk missiles, officials say.
Shouldn’t you, oh I don’t know, be sure that you are going to get authorization before putting all of your eggs in this basket? To begin, you’re telegraphing your every move which may be the point if you are a little bird who wants to puff up your little bird chest. However, if the vote comes down on “no” and you attack anyway then you are creating a Constitutional crisis by choice. If the vote comes down on “no” and you leave the area then you hand Syria a major victory over the paper tiger that is the U.S. under Barack Obama with all those destroyers making a u-turn and sailing off into the sunset of the Post-American world.
And to what end?
Mr Obama said any strike would be to “send a shot across the bow” and give a “pretty strong signal that [Syria] better not do it again”.
None of this makes any sense. “Send a pretty strong signal”??? Who writes this shit? A leather belt sends a strong message. Tomahawks send death from above.
You want Assad gone but you’re not going to remove him. You want to spank him on the ass with Tomahawk missiles and then turn around and leave anyway? He’s not a dog who pissed the rug “and you better not do it again”. Our military is not called upon for “norm enforcement” and to be global disciplinarians. They are trained to kill and if needed to try and keep the peace afterwards.
Hang the albatross of Syria around Russia’s neck. They are the ones providing them with all of the logistical support and weapons they need to attack us and put down their bloody rebellion. They are the enemy. The operative phrase is “selling Assad weapons to attack us”. Putin has declared war on us by his Syrian proxy through these actions.
Not in the eyes of Barack Obama though. Syria is a mess to try and pin on Republicans somehow. You know. The real enemy in all of this.
If you are Russia or China, the time to attack us is now. They could wipe out our naval might in a day and we’d be playing catch-up for years. That might be the point of Obama’s consolidation of our naval fish in the Mediterranean barrel. If he was fine with getting Seal Team 6 killed as tribute to his Taliban “peace partners” and letting Benghazi burn so the Brotherhood could get the weapons Congress wouldn’t send to them then setting our destroyers out to be attacked sounds like it is right up his alley.
If he would invite a Muslim cleric to damn Seal Team 6 to hell at their own funeral, there is absolutely nothing beneath this traitor.]]>
In 2007, Nancy Pelosi, over strong objections from the State Department, visited Syria, and said, “The road to Damascus is a road to peace.” Senator John Kerry predicted that “Syria will change as it embraces a legitimate relationship with the United States.”
A WikiLeaks document revealed that Kerry told the emir of Qatar in November 2010 that Assad is a man who “wants to change” and that Israel should cede the Golan Heights to the Syrians “at some point.”
When is someone going to call this traitor on his bullshit? I guess that’s left to me. He was wrong then and he’s wrong now. I know we’ve always been at war with Oceania but my memory is not so short that I don’t remember The Logan Act defying Kerry draped all over Assad like one of his shiny suits calling him “a reformer” and demanding that we re-open our embassy because Unilateral Cowboy McBushitler or something. Not that the embassy closing had anything to do with Assad’s regime ordering the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri in 2005 that facilitated their Cedar Revolution or Assad using Lebanon as a launching pad for attacks on Israel.
I still remember Hijab Nancy. The Whore of San Fransicko offering Damascus her ancient holes in exchange for a photo op to show the folks back home how Bush was isolating good, decent men like Bashar with his chimpy, simpleminded ways. She calls for war now as well with no so-called journalists drilling her like a Gulf Coast jackup rig for her past love affair with the terrorist state of Damascus.
Where are our brave, young liberals filling in the role of much needed cannon fodder at our nation’s recruiting stations? Who will be the first to die for Obama’s mistake of painting himself into the corner and rushing to war over something as petty as his monument-sized opinion of himself? I can think of several dozen off the top of my head – and that’s just locally.
I mean – don’t get me wrong. It’s not like I’ve never seen a hypocrite before. Just not so many in the same place at once.
Exit Note: Back to Meet The Press. I loved the pictures of gassed children on my television this morning. Class act that. Did Assad do it? Did al Qaeda in Syria in an attempt to goad us into action? Who cares because emotional manipulation! Those pictures were intentionally left out in the build up to Iraq and more kids are killed on a weekly basis in America’s many abortion clinics and those pics never see the light of day. If we’re really concerned about kids being killed in an inhumane fashion, we need surgical aistrikes on every Planned Parenthood office by tomorrow morning.
Bonus Bootlick / Turd Polishing / Peter Puffer Award: F. Chuck Todd’s “The Week That Was” segment focusing on Dear Leader’s courageous about face from War Any Minute to War One of These Days – Maybe Not Now But Soon! One day we’re gonna smack down some brown people and we’re all gung ho followed by pics of dead kids, chemical warfare and six destroyers already on the scene in the Mediterranean Sea. The next day it’s hurry up and wait. But then, a miracle! Obama changed his mind and sought Congress to share the blame after he couldn’t get one ally to sign on to his Chickenhawk misadventure because Smart Diplomacy. As Todd said of John Kerry’s eloquence to describe the Syrian situation – his “strong, passionate…Churchillian” orations successfully won everybody over to doing the opposite of his demands. What a week and we were all there to see history in the unmaking. ;P]]>
We are somehow supposed to be amazed that a Chicago machine pol who has profited from pimping his race his entire life can give a speech that makes white liberals feel comfortable in their prejudices and their continued inability to overcome them. So comfortable, in fact, that they follow the speech with praise more suited to a little boy who has learned to use the bathroom all by himself. In public no less!
Sen. John McCain, the Arizona Republican who lost the 2008 presidential race to Obama, called the president’s remarks “very impressive,” and said they should help all Americans think about how to improve race relations in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s death.
“I think we continue to make progress,” McCain told CNN’s State of the Union, but recent events show “we still have a long way to go.”
McCain also said he wouldn’t “second guess” the Florida jury’s decision this month to acquit George Zimmerman for the death of the 17-year-old Trayvon.
What an impressive turd of a speech you have laid on the front lawn of every American! All by yourself!
But “second guessing” the Florida jury’s decision is precisely what Obama said. I respect their decision but I don’t agree with it and I’m going to have my Attorney General continue to harass Zimmerman for alleged civil rights violations until he’s either shot by a Trayvon Martin supporter or commits suicide.
This is McCain’s idea of “impressive” for President 12%. If Obama is only going to represent 12% of the population then that’s what he needs to be called and he doesn’t represent them all that well to begin.
Not one to be outdone, David Brooks had a keen eye for slacks creases on the Meet The Press this morning:
On Sunday’s broadcast of “Meet the Press” on NBC, New York Times columnist David Brooks gushed over President Barack Obama’s speech on race in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict a week earlier.
“It seemed superficially unimportant, but it’s important to remember race is his first subject, as it would be if you had a black father and a white mother,” Brooks said. “And all the mental habits, he breached all the other issues, grow out of the way he framed race and the way he started thinking about race — his tendency to do, ‘On the one hand, on the other,’ his desire to reconcile opposites, his ability to see different points of view. All the stuff we’ve come to see him apply to every other issue, it started with race. And I thought this speech was one of the highlights of the presidency.”
“I thought it was a symphony of indignation, professionalism, executive responsibility, personal feeling,” Brooks said. “It had all these different things woven together, I thought beautifully. But it’s important to remember, race is how he thinks.”
He said as he wiped off his chin and dusted his knee caps.
And what was his most memorable line for this “highlight of his presidency” to elicit such effusive praise? The only line I’ve heard anyone quote is a play off his earlier comments that “He could have been Trayvon Martin 35 years ago”?
I wish. If he’d assaulted someone like George Zimmerman 35 years ago it would have saved us several trillion dollars.
What Brooks is praising, Obama’s ability to keep himself in two worlds, is the problem. You can’t pledge false allegiance to the rule of law while encouraging a mob action. You can’t be both right and wrong.
In keeping with the commodal theme of this post, you either shit or get off the pot. You either urge calm, or you don’t. You don’t say the law was right and then side with thousands of protesters laying seige to federal buildings all over the country laboring under the stubborn narrative that Travyon Martin was stalked or hunted by George Zimmerman and killed for being black on a Tuesday night by a Stand Your Ground defense using cracker.
That is not what happened and siding with people who have turned it into that is more than just unpresidential. It’s a shitty thing to do.
And leaves others to clean up the mess he made.]]>
Some of your hosts here at the Buffet are active Twitter users. See what we’re blathering about!

I made one Trayvon Martin post that I am aware of. It seemed to be an open and shut case from the beginning so the only thing to argue about would have been the media’s ginning up of racial animus against white people for something a hispanic did. Which they cheerfully did with shameless zeal. Let’s see how prescient I was at the opening days of this bro-haha.
Amazing. I know. Like reading a crystal ball.
A community organizes a neighborhood watch after a series of home invasions. One of the neighborhood watchmen spots a tall figure in a hoodie milling about outside of an apartment on a dark, rainy night. The figure backtracks and attacks the watchmen as he goes back to his car. While scuffling on the ground, the suspect notices a gun in the watchmen’s waistband and informs him that he’s going to die tonight. The watchmen pulls out his gun and shoots him after his head was being pounded into the concrete.
So now comes the reckoning. The “White” Hispanic wannabe cop is exonerated of murdering the black wannabe gangster after said wannabe gangster attacked the wannabe cop for following him and then threatened to kill him. All of the evidence of the gangster wannabe’s crimes were withheld from the jury and they still found the wannabe cop innocent. The usual race hucksters are holding gas and matches with tepid appeals to calm before setting their own neighborhoods on fire and attacking innocent passersby. For Trayvon’s hallowed memory of course.
I’m just curious. Earlier this month a gamer from Texas was brought up on charges with penalties for up to 8 years in jail for “making threats” as he joked about shooting up a school after losing at a video game. Why would Twitter users flashing guns and promising to specifically kill George Zimmerman be immune from similar prosecutions or lawsuits from the targeted party?
I realize Attorney General Holder will not be filing charges against any of “his own” people. But what about Twitter? Just this week, Twitter announced that they would comply with local laws to “out” users who made what they consider to be racist, sexist or homophobic remarks from prosecution or scorn. How is making death threats not included unless they agree with those threats?
Twitter has agreed to hand over the details of people who post racist and anti-Semitic abuse anonymously on the micro-blogging site, it emerged today.
Following a long legal battle, the US-based company said it would cooperate with authorities in France who want to bring alleged criminals to justice.
The breakthrough is a significant test case for the millions who use social media to express hatred and anger without revealing their identities.
Yes, totalitarianism in pursuit of thoughtcrime persecution is considered a “breakthrough”. But what of death threats?
The Capitalized Term “Twitter Rules” under their Terms of Service Agreement includes the following:
Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr and others have already attempted to steer lynch mobs to Zimmerman’s private homes. Yet they are still allowed on Twitter. Thousand to tens of thousands of hoodie enthusiasts are making direct threats to murder George Zimmerman today yet where are these enforcers of civility at Twitter and Facebook and any number progressive social media sites.
They are, in fact, enablers of these calls to lynch mob justice and should either shut those accounts down or be sued into bankruptcy for being the platform that tacitly allowed it after it was brought to their attention if harm comes to Zimmerman, his family or whoever happened to be misfortunate enough to live at the addresses where the aforementioned morons directed their assassins.
It’s always right when it’s something you want and it’s always wrong when it’s something you don’t. Some consistency would be nice.
Let’s just get something out of the way – I do not believe that being gay should be a protected status. It is a lifestyle choice. Just like being straight. Just like using drugs. Just like wearing a pink mohawk and a leather jacket. People get judged for lifestyle choices. By their families, friends and employers. Whether or not you feel you are born that way and how you choose to live your life is a personal choice. Embrace the personal responsibility for how you have chosen to live your life. That’s not a judgment against it.
Presumably, you are a person. Presumably, one rich in spirit and capable of many thoughts and feelings above those of primates. I myself am an amalgam of a wide-ranging and sometimes contradictory set of personal beliefs and actions. However, I would never seek to only define and identify myself but what I prefer to stick in my asshole, mouth or what genital I prefer to lick.
To define yourself solely based on your sexual behavior is a perversion whether you are homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual or asexual.
I don’t fully know what to think about the Supreme Court rulings today. My personal belief is that government has no right regulating marriage – period. The only way conservatives can preserve marriage is to have the federal government end giving tax credits, incentives, etc. to one group of people and not to another. Otherwise, Big Government with it’s all crushingly clumsy boots are going to step all over your steeple.
Everyone can still get married in their church. If your church recognizes same-sex marriage well good for you. But everyone should enter a civil union if they want the state or federal government to recognize legal implications from your religious ceremony and eventually there will be standardized nomenclature for asset distribution and in the event of death or marital dissolution. It can automatically renew based on a negotiated timeline with an auto-renew clause unless notified in writing 90 days in advance.
I know. I’m a romantic. But tax credits and government incentives are what have given the government the wink and nod to jam the tips of their gangbanging 5-4 Supreme Court strap-ons into the tender orifices of the historical institution of marriage and the only way to preserve it is to quit taking their welfare.
Exit question: So, the historically anti-samesex marriage Obama can call up gay activists congratulating them on a judicial victory like they just won the Super Bowl with a sense of urgency he doesn’t reserve for his Ambassador in Benghazi crying for help as he’s being raped in the streets and murdered?
Priorities, people. Priorities.]]>
7 Things Democrats Would Have Freaked Out About If Bush Had Done Them
Obama’s national security policy has continued some of the most controversial moves of the Bush administration. Silence from much of the left.
It’s almost like they’re all liars teeming with fake, manufactured, holier-than-you outrage or something with an “ends justify the means” view of using power towards trashing the Constitution like they’re not going to be adversely impacted by it.
Come for the hair-pulling, teeth gnashing .gifs, stay for the duplicitous, pantshitting hypocrites in the comments thread. Talk about stumbling upon the Holy Grail. I think that guy just described Obama’s first term in office.]]>
House Speaker John Boehner today called NSA leaker Edward Snowden a “traitor” who put Americans at risk by releasing classified information to the media.
“He’s a traitor,” the highest ranking Republican in the House of Representatives said in an extensive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “The disclosure of this information puts Americans at risk. It shows our adversaries what our capabilities are. And it’s a giant violation of the law.”
Disclosing to a foreign media source that every American citizen and business phone has been tapped, including Congress and the Supreme Court and anyone in the world who has communicated to them by the most corrupt administration in history is treason. The actual tapping of those phones and e-mails is not treason without suspicion or probable cause?
Did no one watch the tv-show The Wire? The police had to keep turning their “wire” off every few minutes because even with a warrant they were only allowed to listen for a set period of time. That was for fucking criminals. It was to be expanded for terrorists after 9/11 but I recall no conversations or debates on the Senate floor about extending warrantless wiretaps against US citizens with no involvement in terrorism in perpetuity. That is the definition of a police state.
As if on queue, if I’m to believe the P.U. Center’s polling then 56% of Americans think tapping our phones is A-OK. And that’s not treason.
Clearly, the solution to this “giant violation of the law” is to simply change the law. Maybe something to protect whistleblowers. Call it a Whistleblower Protection Act.
I do not know if Edward Snowden is a traitor. I know that I don’t consider the disclosure of information to a newspaper that can still guard that information in the same way that I would Bradley Manning’s transfer of raw information to Wikileaks that definitely resulted in people who were cooperating with US authorities in warzones being killed. Clearly, he has an ego the size of his Hawaii love nest and the moral flexibility of his contortionist girlfriend. But once again, the government created it’s own traitor. At $200k a year for a high school dropout who washed out from the military.
But my phone needs to be tapped.
Just like the looming Grand Bargain on Amnesty for Illegal Aliens. Americans have been put at risk. Every child sex offending, drunk driving, drug dealing murderous immigrant from Mexico’s filthy shores is already on our doorstep and Boehner’s solution is to give them citizenship, an Obamaphone and an EBT card because of living in the shadows or something. And a fine. Because someone who’s going on welfare has a bunch of back taxes in their other pantalones.
Now go vote for me! That other guy was gonna give you everything and no back taxes but vote for me anyway because I did you a solid.
10 year old girls can buy an abortion pill over the counter without question but I have to present a valid Drivers License and sign my name in a drug offender registry to buy a 24 pack of Sudafed during allergy season.
Seriously. This country is too fucking stupid to survive.
“Hell, no!”, I say.
Libertarians and conservatives generally consider those works cautionary tales. Liberals and Progsheviks consider them instruction manuals. And they don’t need any more ideas:
Sales of George Orwell’s “1984″ are up 69 percent on Amazon, according to a list on the website.
The book marked its 60th anniversary on June 6 amid a flurry of real-world news stories on secret government surveillance.
Amazon lists the paperback version of the sci-fi classic as the 19th biggest book on its Movers and Shakers list. The current sales rank is 110.
It’s at this point that you realize that Obama’s eternally devoted, lifelong ward of the state “Julia” is actually modeled after the 1984 character.
President Dronekiller McGitmo gets the Peace Prize. Pretending that the Ministry of Ethics datamining your cellphone records, rooting through tax applications and medical records is a sign of our Strength and Owning a Home, a Car and Responsibility for your own life and that of your family really is a kind of Slavery.
