July 4 Thoughts

A quick primer for those of you who have never in your adult life been proud of your country.

On this July 4th, remember that for every political scandal, needless neocon war or story of how we’re hated the world over, you can reflect on these too:

Foreign Aid

USAID With a 2007 budget of 1 Billion

The United States gives more to those in crisis than any other country in the world. USAID is the U.S. Government agency that is responsible for directing these contributions to thousands of non-profit partners and international organizations like the World Food Program and UNICEF. In tandem with these organizations, the agency helps those affected by disaster to cope and then begin again by converting crisis situations into opportunities to promote peace, democracy, and economic growth. USAID ensures that all of this assistance is spent in the way that most effectively helps those who are in need.

World Vision - Assisting in the Myamar Cyclone recovery.

U.S. Navy

The arrival of the USS Kearsage near the Bangladesh coast came as authorities and aid workers warned that Bangladesh faces acute food shortages after the devastating storm destroyed crops and homes across a large swath of the country.

“We are here to help the people in their time of need,” Adm. Timothy Keating, the top US military commander in the Pacific Ocean, told reporters.

The first ship arrived on Thursday and Keating said a second ship, the USS Essex, would arrive in coming days, with assistance at the request of the Bangladeshi government.

The ships are each carrying about 20 helicopters that will help deliver water, food and medical supplies to survivors, US officials said. The ships will co-ordinate with the Bangladeshi military.

Immigration

Though very few real immigration stories are of the “rags to riches” variety, read why people still flock to the United States.

I am 25 years old, I was born and grew up in Mexico. I came to the United States 5 years ago. Before I came to the U.S. I used to live in Mexico City. I was studying at a preparatory school and I was working in a shopping center as a cashier. In the morning I had to work and in the afternoon I went to school. At that time I was planning to go to the university and be succesful like others guys ofmy age, but destiny had been prepared another way for me. I was living with my mother and one of my sisters whomI knew 8 years ago (she was 22 years old and she had been raised by another family). After that exciting day when my mother and I met my sister we lived so happily for the next 3 years but happines is not forever and a black day would come. It was during the first days of March of 1991 when my mother got sick and she had to be hospitalized, after a few days, my mother died and my life turned and took another way. It was so hard for my sister and me to live in the house because we were always remembering when my mother lived with us and we were always crying so we decided to come to the U.S. with one of my brothers that lived in San Diego. After 3 months we decided to come to Santa Ana to live with one of my aunts. Then here in Santa Ana I got married 3 years ago and now I have a son who is two years old and I plan to start some business here in the U.S. or go back to Mexico and go to the university with my wife. I can say my mother would be so proud of my life now.
-Ignacio

My name is Trinh. I am from Vietnam. I was born in a small village in the north. In 1954 a big war happened there because France and communist fought a long time. After the Geneva meeting, my family decided to escape my village and went to the south Vietnam by a small boat. We had been living in the south for about thirty years. I am married and have 4 children. My husband was a teacher and also a soldier because at that time my country need teacher to change to soldier. There was a big war again and many people died by the bomb. We couldn’t count them, and the communist killed many people, and many houses burned. After 1975, my family decided to leave my country by boat one by one. We went to a Malaysia refugee camp in 1984. We had been living in the camp about 15 months. We have been on a waiting list to come to the US. We left the refugee camp and went to the US by plane. Now I am living in Santa Ana. I have been living in the US since 1985. When we first time we came here, we didn’t have anything. We had to start our life over again. We read the newspaper to find a job, and we did a lot of different jobs and we worked overtime every day. After one year my children went to college and they had to study and work. After four years they graduated from Cal State Fullerton. They are working at big company with good salary and good benefits. Now we are very happy to live in the USA because we are living together. We have freedom in our life. We bought a house and cars. We are satisfied with our children. I have been studying English as a second language. I hope in the future my English is better. I am happy because I just passed by citizenship oral interview last week. I will become an American Citizen soon.

-Trinh

It is really easy to gripe, but between $150 fill-ups this weekend, remember how the United States is a true force for good (not perfection) and offers us so much for which we can be thankful.

Liberal Blogger Shot By NRA, George Bush’s War On Iraqi Civilians

Yes, a terrible, terrible tragedy:

Brian Beutler, a well-known progressive blogger, was shot and seriously injured during a mugging last night in Washington, D.C.

But before you can say “give peace a chance” the comments descend into the usual nutballery that makes up the liberal electorate.

So your argument is that Beutler should have whipped out his Colt and started banging away? Yeah, let’s all be violent and indifferent to the taking of human life … just like the criminals.

Because using a gun for self-defense is the same thing as robbing someone.

Come on guys!  Think.

If you’d been wearing your Obama stickers like the good lemmings you are, that felon would have likely tried to scope out a McCain supporter.  Instead of trying to defend himself perhaps he could have fallen on the ground, rolled into the fetal position, and pissed himself.

You can’t just roam the street and not know these basic survival skills.

Regardless, let’s hope Beutler recovers enough to be a walking ATM machine for his fellow Obamatards soon.

Bovine Excrement as a Power Source

Here’s a nice rewind of buzzwords and soundbites regarding our energy needs over the last 35 years. If your the cynical type, you might think that there is no solution coming in the immediate future either.

If the oil producing nations can bring the price down, no doubt the clamor for “energy independence” will quickly die down and our politicians can return to their all important work in self-enriching real estate development deals.

Wish You Were Here

Guilty as sin and now free as a bird.

A perverted, cross-eyed, gap-toothed, crippled, murdering bird.

An anonymous TCASK scumbag came up with the money to spring a two time convicted rapist and convicted murderer from jail:

Under conditions of the bond, House will be monitored 24 hours a day and will have to register as a sex offender.  A judge reduced the bond in his retrial from $500,000 to $100,000.

Now he can stay with the poor excuse for a mother that raised him to be the rapist that he is.  The Ghost of Carolyn Muncey was unavailable for comment so Stacy Rectum of TCASK took the opportunity to speak for her:

“We are so grateful to all the Tennesseans and people all over the country who have supported our work to free Paul House. Because of you, this injustice is finally being addressed, not only for Paul but for the Muncey family as well.”

Until he gets wheelchaired back up that ADA approved ramp to Justice that is.  Police need to watch these deranged TCASK supporters carefully because when he is convicted again they will try to help him escape.

The Real Paul House Update: Katie Allison Granju, who I have recently given possibly unwarranted hell to, did what every other journalistic malpracticing reporter in the State of Tennessee has failed to do (The Tennessean and the Nashville Scene I am looking in your direction) and that is to call the State of Utah and have them send the record of the conviction Paul House was sentenced to in Utah.  An account that was intentionally ignored for several years while these bastards have been trying to spring House out of Death Row.  How do you ignore the details of the crime for years on end without doing so on purpose?

Absolutely disgusting. The shorter version, he twice anally raped a 17-year old girl with a knife to her throat as well as to another girl.   He was a cokehead and raped the other girl who offered him a ride thinking that he was a woman.

He claimed they “made love”.  And nothing says love like a knife to your throat.

Naturally, momma and daddy tried to help him by telling him to shut up unless he had an attorney present.  He was sentenced to possibly Life and no less than five years in prison after pleading guilty.  He was out in 4.

Carolyn Muncey was dead just months later when he fled to Tennessee where no one knew what he was.

There’s your hero, TCASK.  Predictably, they are flooding the comments section wherever this is reported to show their support.  As seen here where “threedoginn” is the TCASK member (first one at The Tennessean).  6MB readers will remember him as the sick individual who defaced the Wikipedia page of Lance Corporal Suzanne Collins (since restored) who was raped and murdered by the since executed criminal -  Sedley Alley.

Will one of you brave assholes push his rapist ass around so he can introduce himself as a sex offender to his new neighbors or would that violate his house arrest?

The Scene jokes - heh…“Lock Up Your Daughters”.  They think this shit is funny.  Hopefully their new editor will fire these jerkoffs.

Dante’s Caucus

I’m shocked, SHOCKED that a party whose most ethusiastic followers support killing a human baby up to, and in some cases, moments past its birth, exonerates murderers based on their skin color and vehemently hates religious people provided that faith isn’t in Global Warming, would hang out with Satan. I just would have thought that openly acknowledging the Prince of Darkness was kind of, what’s the word I’m looking for? - oh yeah - gauche.

True Social Justice

Now this is the right kind of social justice. Grand jury clears Texas hero Joe Horn in the killing of two pieces of street trash.

A Texas man who shot and killed two men he believed to be burglarizing his neighbor’s home won’t be going to trial. A grand jury today failed to indict Joe Horn, a 61-year-old computer technician who lives in an affluent subdivision in Pasadena, Texas.

In the Lone Star state, where the six-gun tamed the frontier, shooting bad guys is a time-honored tradition, and Horn’s case centered on a Texas state law based on the old idea that “a man’s home is his castle.” The “castle law” gives Texans unprecedented legal authority to use deadly force in their homes, vehicles and workplaces. And no longer do they have an obligation to retreat, if possible, before they shoot.

“I understand the concerns of some in the community regarding Mr. Horn’s conduct,” Harris County District Attorney Kenneth Magidson told reporters at the courthouse. “The use of deadly force is carefully limited in Texas law to certain circumstances. … In this case, however, the grand jury concluded that Mr. Horn use of deadly force did not rise to a criminal offense.”

It’s a rare thing that we have a reason to celebrate our justice system, but Texas got this one right. Read the whole thing if you don’t know the story of Mr. Horn and his kick-ass shotgun.

In other unexpected news from the bench, a Chattanooga Judge actually spoke words of common sense last Friday, in recommending that a crime victim “arm herself” due to Chattanooga’s increasing crime rate.

General Sessions Court Judge Bob Moon said Friday that crime in Chattanooga “has become so rampant that it is no longer possible for the police department to protect our citizens.”

He told a woman who had been pulled from her car and beaten in the head that she or her mother needed to “purchase a weapon, obtain a gun permit and learn to protect yourself.” The woman moved back in with her mother after the May 4 incident on E. 17th Street.

Judge Moon said, “The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that all citizens have a right to purchase a weapon to defend themselves, their families and their homes - unless there is some disqualification that prevents them from owning a weapon.”

That’s good advice no matter where you live. The cops are there to take pictures and collect evidence. Make sure it’s the perp’s blood they’re mopping up and not yours.

Evolution Understood

In other news this evening, a Yves St. Laurent fashion designer sets the record straight.

The notion of wardrobe androgyny was the fitting theme of Yves Saint-Laurent’s men’s collection, the house that kicked off the just-ended Paris men’s shows where men’s fashion won a feminine touch.
At YSL, designer Stefano Pilati used quotations from Plato to explain why he combined female detailing with a masculine silhouette.

“The original human nature was not like the present … the sexes were not two as they are now.”

Of course by straight, I mean absolutely fab-u-lously flaming.

Liberals Rejoice! Double Rapist and Murderer To Get Released On Bond by 4th of July

There is no measurable bottom to the depth of the diseased liberal mind:

After 22 years in prison, former death row inmate Paul House is going home now that a judge has reduced his bond to $100,000.

His mother, Joyce House, will use her Crossville home to post a property bond to bring her son home. House, who has multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, will remain at the Lois M. DeBerry Special Needs facility in Nashville for a few days, until the bond is posted.

[...]

The U.S. Supreme Court concluded in 2006 that a jury, based upon DNA evidence that emerged years after his trial, could find reasonable doubt in the case.

That last line in the quote is an important one as it gets intentionally misrepresented by House’s rapist-loving sycophancy.  DNA evidence exonerated House of rape in the murder of Carolyn Muncey that was used as an aggravating factor in earning him the death penalty.  Hence, no rape occurred.  Semen found on her person was a result of her having sex with her husband earlier in the day.  All that means is that she wasn’t raped, not that House didn’t murder her or attempt it.

He was spotted crawling out of the wooded area where Muncey’s body was found with torn clothes, scratch marks, and bruised fists shortly after the time of the murder.

The court saying that a jury “could find reasonable doubts” does not mean that they would not still find him guilty.

The face only a failure of a mother could love.

Regardless, the mother who boasts raising this career rapist/murderer might get a chance to bring him home so he can shake a sparkler in his wheelchair as he now has multiple sclerosis.  As we all know, if you are convicted of a heinous crime you should immediately be released from prison if you are diagnosed with a disease twenty years later.

I’m very pleased that he is going home,” said Stacy Rector, executive director of the Tennessee Coalition to Abolish State Killing.

Due to House’s diminished physical capacity, he should only be able to molest children in arm’s reach.  Congratulations, Ms. Rectum.  You really know how to pick a winner.

Why has no one ever interviewed the two women he raped in Utah?

The Institute For Advanced Stalking

Both See-Dub and S&L have covered yesterday’s Washington Post article on a professional stalker for the Barack Obama campaign who is doing tax-exempt opposition research on his behalf at the Institute for Advanced Study.  The Institute itself is a playground for eggheads to study whichever intellectual shiny object captures their attention.

Danielle Allen, a presumably smart chick who earned a $500,000 “genius grant” when she was 29, now spends her erudite days and nights stalking commenters on FreeRepublic.com as “research” at the Institute and cataloging their conversations about The Messiah so that she can turn their heretofore anonymous names, ages, and occupations over for print in the Washington Post:

As an Obama supporter — she had met the senator while she worked as a dean at the University of Chicago — it made her angry. And curious.

“I started thinking, ‘How does one stop it?’ ”

Why, the tax-exempt way of course!  Only in America can a “scientist” get paid to google e-mail addresses in a chain of spam to harass private citizens because they had the temerity to ask questions about a political candidate for the highest office in the land.  Chicago, “angry”, and an Obama supporter?  Did she attend Trinity United too?

Allen counted 23 freepers among those engaging in regular discussions about Obama’s religion (shock! and or horror! - ed.), and isolated a handful whom she began to suspect as having a role in the e-mail. Sifting through hundreds of postings, she began to piece together their identities.

This is textbook cyberstalking.  The focus of her campaign is to ferret out the ancestry of the e-mail that the Obamessiah is a rogue Muslim and smash these blasphemers of His True Teachings.  Nice work if you can find it.  The Institute must be very proud to add this chapter to their storied history, whether in collaboration or not with the Obama campaign, in the use of their funding as a de facto campaign contribution to focus solely on dissenting opinions against one politician and outing anonymous characters on the internet when the person responsible for the e-mail has already claimed it.

The WaPo includes the names, ages, former occupations and city/states of these dastardly people wondering aloud in a public forum about a Presidential candidate’s religious leanings.  However, the true purveyor of the e-mail asks some good questions of the Institute for Stalking’s mandate in the comments of the WaPo piece:

1. In my news conference yesterday I raised the question of Ms. Allen using a tax-exempt facility to do partisan political research when she was presumably hired to pursue more meaningful activity at the Princeton IAS. Some of the many posts on your web site raised the same topic. Is Allen’s “e-mail” project something Allen is claiming as an academic pursuit under the IAS? People would want to know. I am surprised that Mr. Mosk did not question why a tax-exempt facility is being used as a political opposition research operation, or whether Allen applied to be funded to pursue this activity.

2. Closely associated with the first question is the more critical question of how Mr. Mosk identified Ms. Allen to do a full-page article on an unknown person.

I would only have one two more questions to add to this:

1)  Have you shared any of your “research” with the Obama campaign?

2) Is this your My Barack Obama page, honey?  Because those comments about John McCain being unelectable because he has Alzheimer’s probably aren’t too nice for somebody who likes researching “smears”.

Those glasses look familiar.  That’s all I’m saying.

Countdown With David Letterman

Gee, do you think Letterman’s ratings suck because he’s been trying to become the Keith Olbermann of late night tv except without all the comic relief?

“Late Show” averaged a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49, Nielsen Media Research said. That is its lowest ever for an original since the program premiered in 1993.

Congress Must Censure Bill Delahunt

For those not masochistic enough to sit through a Genuine Soviet Show Trial, several former counsels for the administration faced a House Committee in hopes that Jerry “Go” Nadler could get the quote he was looking for.

That quote was “Bush wants to torture terrorists’ kids”.  As if strapping a bomb to them and sending them into the pizza parlor is how the terrorists got to be Father of the Year.

Regardless, David Addington and John Yoo schooled the Not-Ready-For-Primetime congressional comrades on what a real attorney looks and sounds like.

What follows is one of the most despicable comments I have heard in a hearing ever.

Via RedState -

David Addington is the Vice President’s Chief of Staff. Yesterday, he testified before Congress.

During the course of the hearing, Congressman and Obama Superdelegate William Delahunt (MA-10) asked Mr. Addington about water boarding. Mr. Addington responded that he would not go into details because Al Qaeda is probably watching.

Congressman Delahunt’s response was, “I’m glad they finally have a chance to see you.”

A sitting Congressman snidely suggesting that he is glad al Qaeda is getting a good look at one of the attorneys who advised the CIA how to interrogate the people who organized the September 11th attack.

This committee effectively used a subpoena so they could advertise the face of someone they hated politically and begged the enemies of this country to get a good look at him.

The comment itself isn’t treason.  No, Delahunt’s existence is that.  This was something else.  This was a Congressman rooting for al Qaeda to kill the Vice President’s Chief of Staff in full viewing of cameras in a Congressional Hearing.

He should at the very least be censured and at the most thrown out of Congress.

Contact your representative today to let them know that Delahunt said was beyond the pale and demands censure.

The Prowler:

Delahunt claims he didn’t mean what he said. But enough other Democrats on Capitol Hill clearly understood what he had done. Sen. Charles Schumer, who bunks down with Delahunt when they are in Washington, D.C., made sure his schedule was such that he wouldn’t be in contact with Delahunt for several more days, according to a Senate leadership aide. “We don’t want any part of that guy right now. We expect he’s going to be in the middle of something pretty ugly, pretty quickly.”

Oh, now it’s going to get ugly?

Slap Fight At The So Gay Corral

Hope and Change ™ are coming and the reactionaries, long-suffering and bitter in their undeserved sense of entitlement, are none too happy about it.  Seems clearing out the deadwood in the White House is always a good idea in favor of the new guy with a fresh perspective but when it comes to a complacent newsroom we can’t change horses in midstream and need to side with local experience over some untested punk kid.

Which is where we find ourselves at this fine hour as the deadwood in question, soon-to-be former Scene editor Liz Garrigan, is getting the business end of the boot lodged and subsequently broken off in her ultraliberal ass while her apparatchiks are dealing with a mighty middlefinger in response to the idea that one of them is sparkling fresh enough to be the Ty-D-Bol Man and helm the flagging alt-weekly.  The turds of their careers make a farewell swirl around the bowl: >>> Continue Reading

Some People Deserve To Die

No, I didn’t hate George Carlin that much.  Nor is it a wishlist.  I hate to get my hopes up like that.

This is about the death penalty in general as our local, occasional daily The City Paper stokes the fires of the Justice Denialists over at TCASK with all this talk of our “system being broken”.

From a detached position, you can put your designer coffee down, sit Indian-style in your drum circle and marvel at what a pious soul you are for trying to stop someone from having retribution after a grievous offense against their person or family.

But much like Scene flack Sarah Kelley, all you are really doing is banging on your bongos for the scum of the earth.   You’d rape them yourself but Obama stickers don’t pass themselves out.  Besides, that pen is good for a thousand cuts isn’t it?

Take this case for instance… >>> Continue Reading

Is There a Shrink in The House?

Last night, I dreamed that I was standing in a snack bar line. I let the person behind me go ahead but he declined then John Denver who was behind him, runs up to the counter in front of me.

We exchanged some heated words and it ended in a shoving match.

John Denver? Hello? I think I need help.

“Isn’t it a little late for that?”

I’d like to imagine the way that line was delivered when a CIA interrogator responded to Khalid Shaihk Mohammed’s innocuous, post 9/11, post-Afghanistan invasion offered a Rodney King-esque “can’t we all just get along?”

I’m not going to quote this piece at length from, dare I say this - The International Herald Tribune, but the whole thing is worth a read.

One of the more detail-oriented descriptions of the interrogation techniques and the story of a narcotics investigator with no terrorism background achieving success in the much-maligned US efforts to gather information from the diseased abscesses of Islam that murder innocents with joy at any opportunity.

Mohammed’s initial reaction to being captured was one of licking his chops at the thought of getting the same regular, old criminal justice treatment his nephew Ramzi Yousef, one of the 1993 WTC Bombers:

Mohammed met his captors at first with cocky defiance, telling one veteran CIA officer, a former Pakistan station chief, that he would talk only when he got to New York and was assigned a lawyer the experience of his nephew and partner in terrorism, Ramzi Yousef, after Yousef’s arrest in 1995.

But the rules had changed…

Thankfully, the rules had changed. No Lynne Stewart for you, jerk.

Like I said, read the whole thing.

UPDATE: Having said that, GP correctly notes that the New York Times, or IHT if we’re reading overseas periodicals, certainly has different standards when it comes to putting intelligence officers at risk for retribution by naming the officer in this instance.

Valerie Plame was a desk jockey but Martinez was actually out in the field interrogating the planners of 9/11. I hope the Congressional investigations will start shortly into these traitors who claim to have agonized over this decision to intentionally putting this man at risk.

I guess he wasn’t white or blonde enough for the Times/IHT to consider important enough in protecting the security of this country.

At first read, I did not read the Editor’s note and assumed that Agency officials did not consider him in danger. Upon further review:

a lawyer representing Mr. Martinez asked that he not be named in this article, saying that the former interrogator believed that the use of his name would invade his privacy and might jeopardize his safety.

Regardless of whether he was undercover or not, the Times and IHT just printed his name in hope of putting him at risk. You can’t pound “Plame, Plame, Plame” for two years or hyping Scott McClellan’s nonsense and expect people to not question your cavalier role in jeopardizing the agent who broke down one of the 9/11 terrorist masterminds after harping about Valerie Plame who was relegated to desk duty and sending out donations to political candidates from her “undercover” front.

It’s Wimby Time

I realize that most of you don’t care, but Monday marks the beginning of Wimbledon 2008. When I think of Wimbledon, I think of all those times as a kid sitting in front of the TV watching John McEnroe vs. Bjorn Borg rooting against the hippie Swede.

If I’d known what a complete prick the guy was in real life I might have done otherwise. I didn’t get to see Mac when he was in town a few years ago for an exhibition, but I heard from a reliable source that, even at a small-time exhibition he was cussing up a storm in front of kids arguing line calls. It was cute at 18, not so much at 47. Check out the fine example he’s setting for the young ball-boy in the first clip below.

Stay classy, John, stay classy.

On Polls and Pollsmokers

When Congressional approval is being edged out by the wit and guile of the HMOs, maybe you shouldn’t keep harping on the public having twice as much confidence in the President than you.

Rat Bites Man

13, 14, and 15 - Scottie. Time’s up!

You see, the point of being a rat snitch is that you actually have some information that proves what you contend:

Two senior administration officials say the White House decided not to invoke executive privilege to stop McClellan’s testimony because “there’s nothing new.”

That’s got to hurt. Not as much as when Rachel Maddow was clubbing you about the head and neck with her snakeskin double dong while Keith Olbermann’s balls were uvula deep in your mouth…but hurt nonetheless.

For the regular fact-free analysis of the AP and anyone else still covering McClellan earning his paycheck from Soros, Richard Armitage is always just a phone call away.

But don’t let that little factoid get in your narrative of “Secretive White House Didn’t Tell Rat Fink Everything”.

Gee Boss, I get the feeling you’re not being completely honest with me?

Damn Obamessiah Pimps

Down at Sundown in the City last night I tried to get the sad sacks at the Obamessiah pimp table to sell me an Obamessiah mask for $1. They said the price was $2 and there was “no haggling”. Even more shocking, they were selling their cheap-ass Obamessiah t-shirts for $15!

This led me to two thoughts. First, how are all the unemployed Obamessiah voters going to afford $15 for t-shirts? Last, for a bunch of people who are eager to take my income and give it away to others, they’re not very good about giving away their merchandise. Cheap bastards.

Class or Gas, No One Rides For Free

On the heels of the President’s call to lift the domestic drilling moratorium, the well-crafted Democratic response was as follows:

Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader, reacted quickly to the president’s remarks on Wednesday. “This week’s flip-flop on offshore oil drilling by President Bush and Senator John McCain is nothing more than a cynical campaign ploy that will do nothing to lower energy prices, and represents another big giveaway to oil companies already making billions in profits,” Mr. Reid said in a statement.

Is that all you got - class warfare and “Big Oil”? Of course oil companies stand to profit from increased drilling. It’s what they do, you know, sell oil. But in the process something wonderful happens which is invisible to the enlightened - oil supply goes up and prices come down.

By Reid saying that, the move is a “cynical campaign ploy that will do nothing to lower energy prices”, he is either lying or referring to the fact that there will be no immediate increase in supply.

The latter being the case I would respond that he is completly right, but since the Dems are the party of “The Children”, why do they seem so opposed to investing for the future? They sung the same tune when the personal social security accounts proposition was shot down.

Since this election is shaping up to be a Democrat and a Sandinista, it may be the energy question that turns voters out.

More Shady Obama Connections?

Remember, regardless of what the Left says, you can be judged by the company you keep.

Background

UPDATE: I question the credibility of this source. But there appears to be some backstory.

The Obama campaign received more bad news this morning when a federal judge handed down indictments against construction company Holey Dynamite. Closely tied with Obama foreign affairs consultant Winnie the Pooh, HD’s chairman, Gopher, is also a noted Democratic financier and is reputed to have connections to the Hundred Acre Mafia.

Change We Can Bereave In

Obama’s Sept. 10th mindset is on display in Britain and when Osama’s “right hand men” get a chance to meet Obama’s leftwing Justice Department, the streets will flow with the blood of Hope and
